Well as much as I enjoy poking at Cryptic here about this subject, I like to think they aren't going around spewing lies because CBS would find out somehow someway about it and perhaps they might get in trouble in some fashion, if they can at all over it.

Still, this ship clearly falls under the "it ain't a fed or kdf ship so we don't want everyone to fly around in them" rule. Perhaps there is a clause in there somewhere that says... we're fine with it if the ship is for free during Christmas. Sounds retarded if you ask me but anything is possible.

The simple fact that it's not going to really replace any of our cstore or lockbox or 'Jemmy that comes in everything because it's an instant Cash Cow ship' ships makes it not such a threat to be flown around by everyone all the time could be reason enough to allow everyone to get it. Remember, CBS is concerned(for who knows what reason in the world you'd think they'd be more concerned with a new show or something)about everyone flying these ships all the time. Not that everyone owns one. I guess it's better than most ships but that's okay so long as it's not a clear winner.

I already have a suspicion that this will be the case. Here is an excerpt from the discription of the ship stats.

Quote:
The Breen Chel Grett Warship comes with an Energy Dissipator console which fires a targetable Energy Dissipating Blast that causes significant subsystem drain and has a chance to knock a single subsystem offline for a short duration. The Energy Dissipator can be equipped in any console slot on any Breen ship
Any Breen ship. That leads to the assumption there may be another Breen ship on the way. Perhaps a lockbox with the Breen capitol ship and the frigate / fighter in the Lobi Store?

?Rank Required: Rear Admiral / Brigadier General
-Hull Strength: 36,000
-Shield Modifier: 1
-Crew: 650
-Weapons: 4 Fore, 4 Aft
-Device Slots: 3
-Bridge Officer Stations: 1 Lieutenant Tactical, 1 Commander Tactical, 1 Lieutenant Engineering, 1 Lieutenant Commander Science, 1 Ensign Universal

-Console Modifications: 4 Tactical, 3 Engineering, 3 Science
-Base Turn Rate: 13 degrees per second
-Impulse Modifier: 0.18
-+10 Power to Weapons; +5 Power to Engines
-Can Load Cannons
-Breen Energy Dissipator Universal Console

NOTE: The above stats are subject to change. The box that the ship comes in, which cannot be opened until the minimum rank listed above, is bound upon pickup.

What interest me about the Breen vessel is that it is some kind of Cruiser/Escort hybrid. I think the first time players get this vessel it will be flown alot around sector space and ESD.

I wouldn't worry about it being over used, afterall the thing is ugly as hell. Also it is more of a novelty item than anything else - Most folks seek after more prestige vessels like the BUG, or Lock Box vessels.

I remember this same argument about the BUG, I rarely see them at all now, though they are scarce. It also applies with the other Lockbox ships - I occasionally see the Recluse, Wells (It is fairly new), and D'Kora.

The FREE Chimera I rarely see - So I highly doubt the Breen vessel will flood the universe - it is a novelty item that will soon wear off and be kept in players storage to collect dust - Unless you're a serious RP'er.

Either that or leaving possibilities open for future projects. I highly doubt it that we'll be seeing Breen variants at the CStore - but I would not be surprise if we see something Breen in a Lockbox.

I am hinting at a Carrier of some sort -

A Breen Carrier would prove to be a Dev designer challenge, afterall Breen design is rather unique.

Somebody mentioned you can buy Qshots from the Lobi store, I hadn't seen that information any idea where it comes from?

Also, I am assuming Qshots will be character bound. Would be nice if they were account bound or unbound altogether, but I think cryptic fears alting being used to abuse this system.

Here's that info. Funny, we can't copy a photo in the 25th century but we can replicate water in deep space?

If, by some stroke of bad luck, you find yourself incapable of participating in the event the required number of times, this does not mean you?ll have missed your chance to earn the Breen Warship! The Lobi Crystal Consortium is selling ?Q?s Appreciation Package? for just 5 Lobi Crystal, which will contain 2-6 of his sought-after Autographs. Although this is a large investment in Lobi Crystals for players seeking to purchase the ship outright, remember that the price can be significantly reduced by simply running the ?Fastest Game on Ice? on a daily basis.
I'll sell you some weapons from New Romulus. Never fired, only dropped once.

It's been while since the last event, but I believe the bug ship was the reward for the last WW.

Keep in mind that it is no walk in the park to get the glossy photo's. To start the race you must first fight with dozens of people all spamming F to get in, and that alone could take 10+ minutes. Once you finally get into a race you now need to win it, and just staying on the course to finish is a major feat. While some parts of the course are forgiving, there are more then a few sections where you can get dismissed from the race for just getting close to the edge, and you better dodge those snow balls

A lot of people gave up on getting the ship due to frustration with the course, so unless they have revamped it you are in for some hair ripping - shoe tossing - face meet brick "fun". Enjoy

Lasts years didn't have a guarantee of a ship; you got a box that would maybe/possibly/unlikely have a red box. Opening the red box had a teeny tiny chance at getting the ship. The red boxes could also be bought off the C-Store. They were the very first lockbox in game but you bought the box instead of the key.

To back up your statement: I opened 155 red boxes, and got 1 jem'hadar ship.
