Poisoning grain while disguised as a human, assassinating a leader because he wasn't favoring Klingons in negotiations,
yep Klingons are just like the CIA in bad movies

oh and lets not leave out rounding up pacifist Organians by the hundreds and executing them if they didn't obey Klingon occupation forces.
Well come on
Anyone who met the Organians wanted to do that
self righteous smug little freaks

Id have blown the planet up given the chance

Yah lots of courage and honor in that.
No, Klingons were made to be the stereotype evil bad guys in the TOS era. There is no comparison between Klingons in the TOS era and Klingons later.
They were soldiers
nothing more

But then this is the 60s we're talking about and that time was really messed up, the Cold War, the Cuban Missile crisis, anti-communist paranoia, Vietnam, oh yes the evil communists, they're hiding around every corner conniving a way to steal your freedom, oh yes duck and cover, hide under your school desk to be safe from a nuclear bomb strike, stupidity on a mind boggling scale, the Cold War was just so much fun.
Again soldiers (on both sides) doing things the regs did not allow for.

By the time TNG rolled around the Klingons were completely re-invented.

Ok you've got me laughing now, I don't even care about what the original topic was supposed to be anymore.

You forget getting beaten up in close combat by a pregnant woman xD

The lore states that Klingons are tough warriors with a sense of honor. Onscreen we see whimsy looser with the intellect of a chimp

There is nothing in the cosmos more dangerous than a pregnant woman protecting the baby

See, you're missing the point, if Worf was tough he wouldn't get beaten up so often, his wrist broken by Troi(under possession, but it was her technique, not strength that broke it), Pwed by Roga Danar, thrown around by a Borg drone, knocked out by the admiral in conspiracy, etc. When he actually fights and gets Pwned then we can say he really isn't that good. The only fights I remember him winning were against other Klingons, in combat, when he killed Duras and Gowron

Worf was pretty much Mr Badass of the universe in hand to hand combat by the end of DS9.

Do you mean Saavik or Kira? If Saavik, while conception had occurred, she was hardly far enough gone to be physically incapacitated, and had her Vulcan strength advantage I think David Marcus' made a very brave (if stupid) act by trying to take on the Klingon to protect Saavik and Spock

Unlike most humans, Klingons enjoy pain, it makes them a bit harder to deal with.
Klingon honor was a TNG invention to politically correct the Klingons and make their culture more similar to feudal Japan, in TOS Klingons were the Communists, so were portrayed as sneaky, cowardly, conniving back stabbers and all the other negative traits ascribed to communists in that era. Star Trek isn't about Klingons, Klingons are meant to fail as enemies and there are plenty of examples of Klingons being cowardly and dishonorable.
Enjoy Pain? I don't think Worf enjoyed his second rite of ascension (the one with the pain sticks?) that much, it would be a lot easier if he was masochistic.

Klingon sex acts use violence as an aphrodisiac. I'd say they enjoy pain a bit.

I'm pretty sure those were screams of pain, and that's why it's a test, to see if you can endure/tolerate it. There is a difference between being a masochist and actually enjoying and just grinning and bearing it while hating it at the same time

Klingons may be somewhat physically superior, but not much.

In the game, my Kriosian/Orion hybrid(Alien) char regularly challenges Dahar masters to Batleth duels and wins.
HAIL HYDRA!
