To the OP, you cold post these questions in the PvP forum... the knowledge base is much higher... but the tolerance is, shall we say... less? Nonexistent?
Yes, nonexistent.
I grant you that there are a lot of gankers out there, even intolerant jerks... all you have to do is go PUG on an Elite STF to witness it sometime, folks in this thread are trying to be helpful and are a little incredulous... that's all.
This, basically. I explained to him exactly why he can't do what he was expecting to do, and the blunt tone was because he dumped 20 bucks into buying a ship without a single clue as to what he was buying. He bought an ESCORT, one of the best tanking/DPS escorts in the game, thinking it would do the same thing as his SCIENCE SHIP. I don't know about anyone else, but 20 bucks seems like a nice chunk of change to spend so frivolously on a free-to-play game.

On a tangent: You'd think in this world where vast amounts of knowledge are available at one's fingertips that people would look something up before dropping 25 bucks on it.
Hell, makes me wonder how the 25th century would survive.
Your out of luck i'm afraid, although if you want science powers...
You can get a Fleet science ship for 200,000 Fleet credits (Is en par with other fleet ships).
Although i'd stay away from the fleet ships in the future personally, the single character unlock is a no-go for me. All your getting is a fancy hull material and a few extra HP, if it's science your after i'd reccomend :
Oddy Sci
Long Range Retrofit
Vesta/Aventine/Rademaker

I agree on the fleet ships, for the most part. The 4th tac console on the Fleet Hoh'sus Bird of Prey is tempting. . .but you're basically dropping the equivalent of 20 bucks on a relatively minor improvement. I prefer to just make do with my Hegh'ta
Yeah, i see where your coming from. It's only really worth it if you get the discount for having previous editions of that ship, which last time i checked you guys don't get do you?
But $20 is not worth it for a couple extra HP and Console slots, unless your really into PvP.
The C-store ones are acountwide unlock, Type 6 hull plating, and most of them have a funky gadget.
You - I'm guessing a year or two. "How do you kill that which has no life"
Take a long hard look at your life pal. Too short not to be a little nicer.
Now, allow me to make a prediction here:
I'm the one who's going to wind up being disciplined over this.
Personal attack - me defending myself and counter attacking. I'm the one who gets in trouble.
Why can't my hobbies and interests include something healthy?
Everyone likes to pick on the special guy. Enough. I so sick of a-holes like you who think they can bash and bully. A simple ******n question and I get read the riot act. Every try being nice?
At first I really felt sorry for you that you spent those $$$ on a ship you might not get a lot of use out of, but then I read your extremely offensive reply, to a post that actually contained quite a lot of information, the poster even taking the time to post the relevant links.
Thank you for your reply. I suggest you check your blood sugar levels or don't reply after a long day of drinking and beating your dog before you reply to posts.
"yeah, I think I'll totally bash this guy I don't even know who has questions about a game he enjoys because it'll make me feel better about myself because ripping on people on forums is AWESOME!"
It is possible to get points across without personal attacks and being a ****.
piss off.
That post is actually incredibly useful. I suggest you research ships in this game before spending money in the future.
He buys one ship from the store, and another from the Exchange. He decides the science ship from the Exchange is more fun than the one he got from the store and asks about a refund policy. What's so wrong about that? I bought a Garumba from the store, then decided my Vo'Quv was more fun, so I stopped using the Garumba. How is my circumstance any different to the OPs?
Oh, and I fly an Escort too, on my Fed, and I would love to use some of the higher tier Science skills on it. Same, one of the Science Captains in my fleet would love to use FAW3 with her Science ship. If you go back and read the thread again, you'll see that is all the OP said about it. He didn't ask if it was possible, just that he would like to. Frankly, I don't think anyone in game can claim that they get all of the abilities they would like to use on one ship.
@OP: To answer your question without the flaming and insulting... No, I don't think you'll get a refund.
