* Can't go for that myself, but I'm greedy. I like buying and selling those things, plus the occassional giving them away.

* No way you'll ever get anyone to agree on a rate.

* See above. Right now there's the option, but its indirect.

* Would be fascinating, but I don't know how much that'd help. Top 10, or even 20? Maybe. But everything from 1:25 to 1:500?

edit: Want the Z to D rate to change into something more pro-Zen? Tell people to stop buying Dilithium at such poor rates. Or, see if you can start manipulating it yourselves. Get a big group together and work it out.

That said, I'm perfectly happy selling my Dilithium at the current rates, and I love using my Zen to buy things from the Store.

Because players don't want to pay more for ZEN?

Remember, the exchange is purely player driven.

No way! It's a conspiracy! A conspiracy to make players play the game. Black helicopters. The UN! The illuminati! Mulder! Scully!

There are at least four "cartels" buying and selling in bulk (if you don't believe me check on yahoo)

and we need to kill speculation like this DEAD

maybe automatically trade any Dilith on the exchange at 150 per and close the exchange
then leave it closed for say a week to clear out the farmers and speculators

Expect Dilithium to go back up as Fleets approach the final stretch of tier 5 in their starbase projects, that and towards the end of season 7 and the beginning of season 8.

Season 7 has hit the playerbase pretty hard in their Dilitium wallets, thats because of the severe changes towards Dilitium earnings - this may change come season 8 - and who knows, the Devs may decide to have players earn more dilithium via different means.

As players get use to the new changes, there will be means to exploit or find short cuts to gain dilithium. It is only a matter of time.

So those who sit upon mountains and mountains of Dilithium ore - I urge you to jump on that Zen Gravy train.

UNLESS: You realize that Zen is pretty much worthless if you bought everything - then I recommend horde, horde, horde as much as you can.

Afterall - There isn't much to buy with Zen - unless you're a pathetic fool like me and want to spend zen on more toon slots.

And then there will be even less of a reason to play STO.
As it is Season 7 has drastically reduced my gaming time in STO and has certainly reduced my enjoyment of the game.

One of the main contributors to the drop in this exchange was the loss of "clickies" and other Foundry changes. Easy Dilithium evaporated - and this is exactly what PWE wanted. S6 introduced a "need" for vast amounts of Dilithium (Starbase projects) and people paid real money for zen just to convert to Dilithium (instead of grinding it).

So, what should PWE do to increase their profits? S7: Cause the exchange rate to crash by removing the easy dilithium. Claiming that it was a "cheat" - and then not just remove the clickies but any foundry project that takes less than 20 minutes each (thus a minimum of an hour per play).

I wouldn't be surprised if we see other avenues for easy dilithium being removed from the game (i.e. the Path to 2409 is next).

The clickies I understand, but I have a strange feeling that Cryptic may change the length of time of each foundry mission - To be honest 20 minutes is a bit too excessive and unrealistic.

I look at it this way - I enjoy the foundry missions and would want to play them on my own time and at my own pace.

On the otherhand I want to fulfill the requirements on a daily basis to earn the Dilithium.

Cryptic needs to find a balance between the two. That is they need to understand that people simply want to farm the dailies, with the option to casually play the foundry at their own pace.

They either need to up the ante in the Dilithium earnings if the 20minute policy is a must, or drastically reduce the time pre-requiste for the daily.

I still say 10minutes is a good number - No clickies involved and it fulfills the needs of farming the Dilithium. That also gives the player the option to play the foundry at their own pace and not force the issue on the playerbase.

As of right now the Foundry is broken and needs to be shut down and patched up.

yeah, whatever..

im giving my fleet some 10 - 20k dill a day, gotta stop it cause my EC reserves are going thin

every time i get some Zen, i wanna keep it till it has more value, but then, i do need all these DOFF slots, and 2 more toons perhaps, once again MORE DOFF slots..

i would buy the account bank slots, but 1000Zen is just too much..

apart from that, there is NOTHING in the Zen store that would wake my interest.

So - nothing is telling me to GIVE THEM CASH.. !!! With being a 930 days veteran, the old way, now silver,
i am pretty capable of playing the game as a silver without paying them a dime!

I would really like to PAY for something worthwhile (not a fleet B'rel, which i WANT, hidden behind millions of Dill and milliards of EC), so here are some tips:

Still waiting for that playable Romulan Faction and KDF uniforms and Hair options!!!
