It's only impossible if you PUG with a group of TOS roleplaying heros who don't bring remodulators and are stacked with injuries...

I tried into the hive on normal mode.ground mission.
This mission is impossible to do.
Devs this is no fun if a mission can not be done, please make them alot easier to do.
I bet theres not many who do these borg missions,as they are far to difficult to do.
I'm gonna give advice, though I haven't tried Into the Hive Ground myself yet.
Go to Orellius Sector, Defera Invasion Zone and spend a few days there.
Do all missions (which all are repeatable) and team up with others when it gets too hard solo.
The missions in the Invasion Zone are divided into Easy, Medium and Hard, stay and fight until you soloed atleast all the Easy ones. There are also a bunch of Zone Wide missions there which you should take before heading out to fight (a couple of them are bugged and can't be finished).
When you get tired or about to give up, go to sector space and do all the Aid the Deferi daily missions and then head back to the Invasion Zone.
Doing all this would make you better at fighting the Borg I think and it will get you some nice rewards and weapons. Hopefully it will also make it alot easier for you to do Into the Hive Ground
One thread says it's hard, another says easy....MAKE UP YOUR MINDS!!!!!!
Too easy is talking about space. Too hard is talking about ground. The difference is very true and the opposite of all the rest of the game.
I can run on elite ground combat starting at level 5-ish all the way to 50 no trouble. Even my best 50 has difficulty with normal space combat just on hard, and I can't solo elite missions. With the borg, this is mostly inverted.
In Elite space combat pugs do just fine (except on a few STFs where people act dumb then bail out), but even normal ground fail more than 80% of the time without a premade team who knows the mission inside and out.
It is kind of weird really. But I have fun so *shrugs*
I almost never touch ground STF's any more. I dont like ground combat period. The damage you take is more on a cover shooter level without cover shooting mechanics. I have elite level fleet gear and i STILL get torched by borg within two or three shots. THAT isnt fun THAT isnt proper game mechanics.
Ground Needs a total re balancing. It really does. Personal shields shouldn't be instawiped i dont care what the mob is. A person shouldnt need to put so many points in ground he detracts from a proper space build.

Nah, it's more likely you made a mistake in your skill tree. Take a look again and maybe even consider respec'ing your toon. This is coming from someone who's done elite ground stfs and finished with optional with only jem'hadar gear set (mk xi).
Also, something I had to learn the hard way, never go in a stf instance without a pulsewave, sniper rifle or melee weapon. It's best to carry them at all times.
