yeah they got rid of "pvp" currency...

guess what'll be reintroduced when a pvp rep system is added.....

and each additional rep system after that will probably get its own currency too....

EPTX cycling is not an exploit, nor is it broken nor on the level of the broken passive.

Too late, we asked for this when S7 was in testing ... not when its obvious to everyone that things were just thrown in without much thought or even work in some cases.
but its supposed to only be a "passive" ability. anything too high and it starts to replace actual powers that bridge officers use.

also consider, if they made this one that good... what's there to leave for the next rep system?

what could they then possibly put for the pvp rep system?

anything too high leaves no room for growth.

It's not "healing" its a boost to shield regen ... idk why people keep thinking of it this way. Last I checked shield regen was impacted by ship type, shield type, ship tier, shield power level, shield amplifier console, epts boff ability. If it's worth it or not depends greatly on the type of ship you prefer to fly, what shield power level you choose to fly at, the shield type you choose to use, what sci consoles you choose to use, and what tier epts you choose to use. Not to mention play style and if you hit and run for example or are "tanking" and are being subjected to constant damage.

+30 to a skill, its not a passive and its great ... in fact its a REWARD and I dont see anyone complaining about it because they are too busy taking those 3 ticks off and put them somewhere else.

You seen Omega T5? its a AoE healing/res ability.

I am not saying the ability was not broken, you were pretty much invulnerable but that was because it was working at EVERY second, not at SIX seconds.

250 at every second would be ... something, but 260 every six seconds? I throw back the whole 20% health every minute that is LAUGHABLE terrible bad, you will be dead before that even kicks or fully healed because how fast can we be killed on ground.

Right now this T4 power is exactly at the same level, if was ill thought before they overcompensated and made it a terrible bad power, if they want to be serious about this and prevent Escorts being uber (and they clearly dont) make it a PERCENTAGE, like 2.5% of total Shield per second that would put some Tanking power back in Cruisers and Science ships without buffing the Escorts as much as them.

NOTHING.

It been very apparently the best they can do is completely decouple PvP from the PvE game, most MMO gone that route so powers that work in PvP dont work in PvE and the other way around, however chances are is they are going to stuff some Reputation system that will either be utter lulz as this one due not thinking things or being utter pointless because its a "affect players" and most STO players dont PvP.

I would say it will be interesting to see, I am not putting much faith on decouple PvP since that is pretty much the logical thing as looking at this forum you people are not happy with ANYTHING, if they give some cool power to beat down those GROSSLY OVERPOWERED enemies you complain about PvP "being dead" and then insult everyone that likes having such powers as being a Panda ... simply put, there is no pleasing to you people and I am tired of having nice things taken away because of "PvP unbalance" being utter at the exact same time some say "PvP is dead", its either one or the other and I seen Crypic bending backyards for YOU and all I got was God damn grind.

Its T4, there is nothing to grow and as much they are current in love with the Reputation system history have shown Cryptic is easy distracted by new shinnies, besides they will eventually run out of passives to thrown in anyway or will reach a point their choice will be nerfing everything to near worthless status because of the pile up of all the different Rep powers that WILL have everyone up in arms (power creep) or stop, I will vote on the nerfing because ... well to take a page on how you people like to treat Cryptic developers I would say they are exactly the sharpest pencil in the box and seem to enjoy PUNISH players and turn the game into a second job by grinding and more grinding and more grinding.

Look at the regen value on your shield. Check the stats in the defense tab while in system space (if you can get it to work). Look at the effect your power level has on the amount of regen you get every 6 seconds. Granted, 250 every 6 seconds isn't anything close to 1000 every single second but it's still a damned good boost.

My MACO mk XII (on a regular Defiant-R) says it regenerates 156 every 6 seconds (the buggy regen stat in my ship tab isn't working so I can't see actual values in relation to power level changes). In what way is 250 not sufficient. It's almost twice the regen of my base shield...

It's terrible but easy, and these Borg are way cooler than the mess STO and Voyager left us.
May not actually be "way" cooler or even "slightly" cooler.
