So a freind is getting me 2000Zen for christmas, and i like the look of them and it's genrally got positive feedback about it. Ability is cool too.


This is what i was thinking for it, could you guys rate it, and suggest changes?

Shield, Engine, Deflector: Aegis set.

Fore : Phaser Array, Q Torpedo, Phaser Cannon, Phaser Cannon.
Back : Phaser Turret, Phaser Turret, Q Torpedo, Cutting Beam.


Going to use the same consoles as my Galaxy-R, as it has the same layout.

Thoughts, Suggestions?

This is my build for the fleet Excelsior (1 console difference), throws out on average 7-8k per volley while surviving pretty much anything in the game.

Notes:
1: If you don't have purple DCE doffs you will have to run 2 copies of each EPtX skill
2: If you don't have keybinding skills you may not get the most out of it

I love the ship!

I tried the cannon build, it's fun to play with but IMHO it doesn't seem to do as much damage as beam arrays. I still prefer use cannons in an escort/destroyer, I have a plain Advanced Escort/Prometheus with AP DHCs that is my favorite for STFs.

I'm going totally by memory, but here's my layout. I also have the spacebar set to activate all abilities in Slot 7:

Weapons
Fore: 2x phaser BA, 1x dual beam phaser, 1 torp (Breen Transphasic Cluster Torp)
Aft: 4x phaser BA (Full MACO Mk XI or XII, I have a mix.)

Sometimes I swap out the Phasers for Antiprotons but the Phasers seem to do more, maybe because the Phaser Relay consoles have higher specs than my AP consoles.


Equipment
MACO Shield, Borg Deflector and Engine.
Consoles
Eng: 3x Neutronium Mk XI, Borg
Sci: 2x Field Gen mk XI (Blue)
tac: 4x Phaser Relays Mk XI (Blue)

Boffs
LTC Tac: TT1, FAW2, ?
CMDR Eng: EPtW1, RSP1, Aux2SIF2, EWP3
LT Eng: ET1, DEM1
Ens Eng: EPtS1
LT Sci: HE1, Polarize Hull

Doffs
3x Shield Distrib. Officer
2x Energy Weapons Officer (Beam related)

Power Levels
W: 100
S: 50
E: 25
A: 25

You're supposed to get close in with cannons as they have a fall off range for damage. Beam has a better fall off range. Cannons also do more damage vs hull than beam when shield is down.
