*!*!*We are investigating an issue where some players are seeing a "login failed for unknown reason" error at the log-in screen.*!*!*
We are investigating a bug where some Gold Members may not have received their additional character slot -- details here (Will be fixed ASAP!).
UPDATE! We are also investigating reports of slow patching and are working on a resolution. For a better patch experience, please restart your launcher. It will pick up where it left off and should be faster to complete.
If you have purchased a Legacy or Starter Pack, please see this thread for instructions on how to claim your items in-game.
If you have additional questions about the Legacy or Starter pack, please read this FAQ.
In this regard, fleet size means nothing. The size of the fleet is in no way equal to the number of people who actually contribute. Case in point? The Fed fleet over which I am an Admiral; we have 70 members, but only myself and 2 others ever contribute much of anything. The rest of our members are essentially dead weight that either never log in, or never contribute of they do log in.
That's an internal problem.
Peace loving space Elves you say?
Ask Major Rakal how that worked out
It's nice to see that this wasn't another "Hot Topic" AC like previous ones, but Dan still avoided some of the more crucial questions, which in turn affects his standing in my opinion. He should be able to answer those tough questions without any difficulty.
Regarding the scaling problem with fleet costs (too lazy to quote the part of the blog), I may just have thought of a solution that would help smaller fleets (or larger fleets with only a small amount of contributing players for that matter) without any scaling at all.
Why not have a Vendor on the station sell fleet dilithium provisions of some sort.
Those provisions could be bought with fleet credits and have diminishing returns, you need more fleet credits then you got from putting in dilithium to get them.
Those dilithium provisions could be substituted for actual dilithium into projects and ONLY into projects, so there would be no point in trying to exploit this for other reasons.
It would only make sense to use this for players who accumulate large quantities of fleet credits, which is pretty common for smaller fleet members who have to contribute heavily.
Larger fleets don't need the substitute dilithium and smaller fleets don't need to bleed themselves dry on actual dilithium if they contribute into the other requirements as well to get the fleet credits needed to buy the provisions.
Have I missed any obvious problems and logic problems with this? if not, what do you think?
Edit: My bad, I thought this was the thread to ask cryptic, guess I missed the thread entirely, it got bumped out by older threads apparently sigh
Do you have any intention on improving the Aquarius Destroyer... to be on par with other fleet escorts? I think it could benefit from an Enhanced Battle Cloak and improved turn rate, it just is lacking so much as it is. Would be nice if it had a practical use.
Is there any chance of getting that re-trait option soon?
Is the report spam feature going to be improved upon so people can't abuse it further?
Is there any chance you could cut all fleet starbase dilithium requirements in half? Possibly fleet mark ones too, particularly for tier 3-5?
The Typhoon Class is a dreadnaught that will most likely not appear as a playable ship until we increase the skill point cap to full Admiral. Even then, we haven?t yet decided if this will be a player ship, but we can be convinced to make it so if there is enough support for it.
Well everyone, lets all give enough support to get this ship in game, you know you all want it, so lets let Dan know we want it, and a Galaxy Dreadnought Fleet version.
MAKE IT SO Dan.

Regarding the KDF UI colors, the biggest issue that I have with it is the relative lack of color contrast between friendly targets (red) and enemy targets (yellow)--for a person who has mild colorblindness, it is difficult to distinguish them, and if the red/yellow scheme is kept, I would like to see friendlies shown as a deeper "blood" red (i.e. a small amount of blue in the RGB color map) rather than the brilliant glowing red at present.
How many Starfleet Engineers does it take to exchange an Anti-positronic Photon Emitter?
