LOL, basically the Mayans, being complete twats about everything from strapping boards to their kids heads to give them sloping foreheads to cutting out the hearts of everyone for any reason they could concoct, deep down must have felt guilty about it.
When they looked up into the sky and saw the Milky Way, they didn't see anything nice, they saw the entry to Hell!
Being located in the Yucatan, the Milky Way is Horizontal in the sky. 12/21/12 places the Milky Way on the horizon so the Demons can step off onto the Earth and stomp the Mayans good for their sins.
If your post is anything like, "I have a sandwich so you can't be starving" it's time to rethink posting.
