a well time subnuke burns em though i have not seen this on a cruiser yet just escorts and scis a cruisers hull might save it from dieing to a well time SNB alpha strike.
the resistance bonus should be halved or there about.
Cryptic, I would like to point your attention to the fact that many, many players are using these shields and the Romulan torps to easy mode your No Win Scenario.
Honestly, when the system messages are flying by, you can see a team go from beating wave 8 to beating wave 9 in less than 2 minutes. That is all.

the elite shield i could understand, but i don't see how the rom torp helps that much. spread 3 or something? and if the elite shield can make that much of a difference in a event that has the closest margins of all, what does that tell you, really. at that point there is no denying its significantly more powerful then any other shield.
Yeah, drunk. Have you seen what happens when someone stacks up some torpedo spreads and uses them all at once with the rommie torp? You know how much spam there is in NWS, right? Well, they are out-spamming the spam, while using OP shields to survive longer than they should.

12 HY torps fired at 1 target? that has to be a bug, or the total number that would be fired against like 4 target, but they all died and are now chancing 1 target. or something.

Based on what I have seen, that was a single torp spread on a single target. I saw 1 screenshot with 54 torps fired from 1 ship. It's ridiculous.
edit: 54 was just what could be counted, I'm sure there were more.
Nothing wrong here, this is working as intended and should not be altered. These are no HY but regular shots from the Romulan Hyper Torpedo Launcher. Fast firing, slow moving and very low damage. These shots are damage-wise in no way comparable to a HY from a normal plasma torpedo launcher, but they do perform nice against multiple weak enemies (thanks to their small AoE) and against static and slow moving targets (thanks to stacking multiple plasma fires in short order).

I think you guys are actually talking about the Omega Torpedo launcher. The Romulan Hyper torpedo launcher always fires targetable projectiles in all regular shots, HY and TS.

Brandonfl is correct that screenshot in a single torpedo spread against a single target.
There was no other target as it was a test in a 1v1 and if you look carefully there are more than 12 torpedos in flight. To the right of the white text are more torps without text on them, look for the green dots. That was one volley as well, I did not shoot 2 torpedoes spreads off at the same time. If there were a more targets and/or I stacked 2 torpedo spreads it would have been easy to more than triple those torpedoes. 50+ torps in the air at once seems doable.

Fret not, I do not want your torpedoes nerfed. I do want the elite shields nerfed.
5 stacks of 2% resist per weapon type is more than enough, imo. 10% per stack is horrendously OP.
