Tracert gives fine results, but nettest does not. I have TCP ports 80, 443, 7003, 7202, 7255, and 7499 (all the ones used by nettest) forwarded on my router and GameClient.exe as an exception on Windows Firewall. I downloaded and launch STO through Steam. However, it's worth noting that http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ reports my forwarded ports as closed, but utorrent 2.0 diagnostic test reports the ports as open.

My ISP is Brighthouse Networks in central Florida, United States.

I did not have latency issues until recently, within the past 2 weeks or so as of this post.

Eww, Bright House...not really my favorite ISP there. Been there, done that, moved the fark out of there. But I digress.

For starters, check with Bright House and make sure they're not throttling the living hell out of your connection. If you're using any sort of torrenting program (or have Pando Media Booster active on your PC) chances are, you're getting some throttling. ISPs have an annoying way of figuring this out and throttling your connection.

Appears to be an issue with the Cogent Communications gateway to the Road Runner backbone...

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do (but complain) as this is a issue that only the ISP can address. You also might want to post this on the PWE Tech Support thread in the Network Connection Issue Forum, so PWE is made aware of it... http://techsupport.perfectworld.com/

Also, have you tried using the US Proxy setting in the Launcher and see if this improves the condition???
