Premonition Class- Essentially the excelsior size and statistically. It can mount the temporal set, and its special console allows it to freeze time for an amount of time.

Say the atrox actually predates the Caitian/Ferasan schism and both sides have bee updating it. The Ferasan variant is smaller (about half to a third size) which makes it faster. She has more klingon style Bridge officer slots, but as she is an older and non klingon ship, she doesn't get Commander level slots, even though she's a General level ship. Also the emphasis on speed, means her hulls lower, and she doesn't have as many weapons, however she can cloak, and her universal LT Commander BO slots give almost as much versatility as a Bird of Prey

Ferasan Atrox Variant

Hull: 25000
Weapons:
Front- 3
Rear- 2
Crew: 175
Bridge Officer (12 total)
Engineer LT
Science LT
Tactical LT
Universal LT Comm (2)
Device Slots: 2
Consoles (11 total)
Engineer 3
Science 3
Tactical 3
Turn Rate: 14
Impulse Modifier: 0.2
Inertia rating: 30
Power Bonus: +5 to all systems
Abilities: Cloak, twin Fighter Bays (fighters launch out of each side though)

Freedom Class (Heavy Scout)

A fairly un-maneuverable escort with 5 forward weapons, and 1 rear weapon at tier 5. Counter the lack of maneuverability with a bit more hull.

Why do players keep asking for ships from other games when it has been repeatedly told they cannot get them into STO.

I forgot about the Freedom-class.

There are well over 15 Federation canonical ships yet added to STO, and like 4 or 5 Klingon ships. (No confirmation but the K'vort is said finally going to be available with the Third Anniversary).

Well if they are interested, here are some ships I designed.
Azurian, i would personally vote for the giant toad!!

Nice designs btw

It is great to see someone advocating one of my favorite ships to be added to the game, the Achilles Class. I would love to see her added and may go for the Premonition Class as my fellow Armada/Armada 2 player has advocated for. Would definately by the Achilles once she was added. But would we also need the Hutet to counter the Achilles?

I would also like to advocate the purchase of the copyrights and 25th Century refits of the following battleships, one from this game's very predecssor

Missouri Class Battleship (seen here - http://www.shipschematics.net/startr...p_missouri.jpg)
Available for Rear Admiral - Vice Admiral
Tactical and or Fleet Battleship
Large battery of Phasers, Many Torpedo bays, Assault Phaser, Quantum Carrier Wave Beam
Primary role in Klingon Academy was battleship but could also double as a Battleship Carrier Hybrid if brought to STO

Yamato Class Battleship (Schematic sheet http://www.shipschematics.net/startr...hip_yamato.jpg and Data File - http://guyvantic.deviantart.com/favo...49769#/d4amqqf)
Available for Rear Admiral - Vice Admiral
Multi-role and or Fleet Battleship
6 torpedo launchers, 6 quad phaser banks, 2 twin phaser banks, 1 twin phaser cannon.
In Star Trek's Starfleet Command: Empires at War she was able to launch missiles, to those who have never played it yes you read correctly missiles. She could also launch attack probes, and autonomus shuttles that could do either kamakazie attacks or break apart to release a missile payload.

If these 2 massive beauties were added to this game along with the Achilles, and participated in a STF or Red Alert action would be sweet. Just gives me goose bumps what a modernized (25th Century) Yamato and Missouri could do on the Klingon front of the war.

Again, ships from other games will not be added to STO due copyright issues and other legalities.

Can't CBS override the copy right issue.
I'm no lawyer, but I imagine, CBS would have the rights to take license from a game, comic, action figure companies for mishandling their property.
So couldn't CBS take the license for a particular ship, character, equipment, from other CBS licensed Star Trek game or comic, and place them into other licensed game or comic?

They really should just open up more competitions to design ships.
And why don't they design some ships that make support/cleric more of a viable career path?

Sure they can take the license away from someone.
But that only means company X can not publish what they have created.
It does not make what they have produced any less their own material.
That means it's still their intellectual property, it does not belong to CBS or Paramount just because those own Star Trek and it's a Star Trek game or whatever.

Highly unlikely, but CBS or Paramount can 'buy' the rights to these soft-canon contents and give it to other developers.
Let's face it, Activision isn't going to make another Elite Force, and especially an Armada game.
As far as I can research, Double Helix Games currently own DS9: The Fallen, so, again, I doubt they'll be interested to make another Star Trek game.
DS9: Dominion Wars was published by a company owned by CBS in the first place, so CBS can let PWE/Cryptic to use the Achilles class.
