I have been at this mission for over 2 hrs in an attempt to complete it, there is a significant reason why I cannot.

there is only supposed to be one command ship to destroy! I had 3 that went w 4 dreadnaughts and every minute the ships that I had killed would respawn. this was the last wave of this mission and at that point it made the mission impossible to complete.

I started w over 10 allies at the end there were 2 it would help if the romulan ship could actually turn correctly instead of as if it were 3 dreadnaughts side by side but not a whole lot.

its a lil impossible to finish i agree. i went to replay it and i still cant even bring the command ship down without help. soon as your allys get owned your on your own and a target that lasts 5 seconds. its supposed to be a solo mission. making it that hard should specify teammates or tone the thing down. they spam viral matrix or that cutting beam thing making it a 5 second fight. bug who knows but im glad im past it. fighting a borg cube is easier.

Just finished this today and there's a nice trick to it. Load your warbird up with 2 dual cannons a beam weapon and torpedo. Then at the start of the defending New Romulus where you face off against the Command Ship and the dreadnaughts here's what you do:

First cloak. Second close on the Command ship till you're almost in front of it. Third Uncloak and unload everything you can on the front of the command ship. Hopefully your bridge officer will have scatter volley or Rapid Fire and use them at the same time.
Fourth try to tractor it to keep right in front of you till you blow up...

Each time you try this approach you trim 10-20% of the command ships health and after a few retries you'll nail it. Took about 20-25 min.

Good luck!!

Yes, it is beatable. Took about 20-25 minutes.

Templar's approach is spot on, and exactly how my scenario of the mission played out.

The key here is to focus on the command ship, and ONLY the command ship. No matter how many other ships are around you, no matter how many or how hard they hit you, ALWAYS focus all of your fire on the command ship.

When you die (and you will), locate the command ship immediately upon respawn and continue to fire on it as soon as possible.

I found Ramming Speed to also be effective as it drops the Command ship on average of 15%-20%.

So, cloak, get behind it, decloak/fire everything. Continue firing until near death, Ram if able when near death, and you WILL bring it down.

Once the command ship is destroyed the remainder of the fleet scatters.

Took me over an hour, I started with the support ships that would heal the battleships, then took out the battleships, then worked on the dreadnoughts enough that the command ship was opened up (had the command ship and 1 dread left). The support ships were a key for me since they were spamming and healing everything in site. Expect to respawn many times.

Didn't work for me, all got was minus 10% of the command ships health that in one hour of shooting and dieing.
Everytime I respawn, all command ships got 100% health. All three of them.

Out of missery I skipped the mission.

# 9 It's possible, but not fun

I did this mission with a KDF Raptor on my 35 Reman. I had I armed with quad cannons, heavy cannons, PT, special Torp from previous mission and all the level appropriate gear I gained/bought on exchange (thanks to EC banked).

The fight started like most in that I died on repeated runs against command ship surrounded by other Dreads, Battleships and other escorts. I waited on the NPCs to do something (which they never did) and then I got lucky and found Command ship exposed enough to draw it away from the main group. Once the Command Ship moved out of aggro range of other bigs ship I was able to go one-on-one with it (and its generated support ships). It was no different than the Battleship, though it took longer to work it down to 0.

A doable mission, but not an enjoyable mission.
