Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
Slow patching in the launcher
A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
The variant has 4 tac console slots with 4 relays 4 cannons 3 turrets and all its fighters
the advanced fleet escort has 5 console slots with 5 relays 4 cannons and 3 turrets
which does more dps having the extra relay or having fighters?
never parsed the 2, but it is a mistake to compare them, kind of the apples and oranges dilemma!
i'm not even sure what ships you want to compare. your headline talkes about the escort carrier...and a ship that does not exist.
did you mean the heavy escort carrier? with 4 tac slots and a hangar, or the fleet advanced escort?
personally i think the heavy escort carrier has a higher overall dmg potential, but the fleet advanced escort has definately more burst dmg potential.
Unbuffed they are about the same with the right pets used.
The 5th tac console however lets the fleet one do significant more straight damage to the target.
If you can find somebody with a t5 shipyard (probably not going to happen for another few month) you don't even need to choose. fleet heavy escort carrier has 5 tac consoles and a hangar.
PS: still not really sure what kind of ships you are reffering to, since the names you use do not exist. i can only asume you mean the heavy escort carrier (armitage) and the (multivector) fleet assault escort (prometheus)
Quote:
burst damage? In the sense of boff abilities that don't effect fighters?
no, in the sense of a 5th tac console boosts your 4 cannons and 3 turrets further, making each hit do more dmg...thus being more burst dmg, or as the other guy said, "straight dmg".

The FHEC has 4 tac consoles.
To the ops question, a HEC does more damage with a proper fighter wing and hull heavy targets (ie structures) where their torpedo damage starts adding up fast.(ie KASE) The fleet advanced does more damage to shielded targets, and adds a lot of extra(immeasurable) damage with gravity well because of the way it clumps up enemies and causes easy AoE damage and chain warp core breaches(ie SB24).
