Basically, I just moved my Defiant's weapons into this one. I'm also thinking about using a Phaser or a Disruptor loadout in the future instead, once I have enough monehs (EC) for Fleet Weapons. I'm really almost exclusively PvE.
Fore Weapons: Antiproton Dual Heavy Cannons Mk XII (Acc)(CritH)(Borg) x4
Aft Weapons: Antiproton Beam Array Mk XII (Acc)(CritH)(Borg) x3, Antiproton Turret Mk XII (Acc)(CritH)(Borg)x1
Deflector: MACO (I have used Omega as well)
Engines: MACO (I have used Omega as well)
Shields: MACO (Omega shields suck, imo)
I tried Omega on Deflector and Engines for the Tetryon Glider, Sensors, Targeting, (tactically-sided) bonuses; I'm still deciding if that's a better deal than a full MACO set that gives me the Magnetoplasma Relays and a Heavy Graviton Beam, better Structural Integrity, Shield Systems, and Graviton Generator bonuses.
Devices: Phaser Satellite Turrets, Scorpion Fighters, Subspace Field Modulator
Eng Consoles: RCS Accelerator Mk XI (+35% Turn Rate),Ablative Hull Armor Mk XI (+26.2 Phas, Disr, Antp, Tetr resist),Universal Console - Breen Energy Dissipator
Sci Consoles: Field Generator Mk XI (+17.5% Max Shield Cap),Universal Console - Assimilated Module,Universal Console - Graviton Pulse Generator
Honestly, I think it turns pretty darn well. My defiant turned like a boss, and this thing, with four weapons fore and aft, 750 crew, and nearly as much hull as my oddy, does a heck of a job with a turn rate boosted by the RCS console.
Running Cure Found: Elite STF (Space) is so much fun (I changed some BOFF skills and seating. Unleashing CSV II on those Borg raptors + Attack Pattern Beta + Tac Team + Attack Pattern Alpha + Graviton Pulse is the ****. They pop like kernels in a microwave.
Plus, the Lt. Cmdr. Science is everything I ever wanted. I know the AE and the MVAE has it, but I chose the Defiant over the Prometheus for many reasons, including my opinion that the whole Multi-Vector mode in Star Trek Online is nothing like the incredibly, butt-kickingly, Romulan-pastingly awesome action we saw in Voyager. Putting that in game would be very over powered, so... sigh. But finally, a ship that has the Lt. Cmdr. Sci slot.
Using TBR is so much fun. How could I have missed out on this for so long?

Reason: Added the BOFF Abilities.
I tried it with a cannon/escorty build. It did great (and I love photonic shockwave, going on the whole 'yay LtC sci!'
Currently trying a torp build. So far, also doing great.
Really, it's just about the perfect battle-cruiser -- nimble enough to get cannons (or torps) on most targets, inertia doesn't make you skid all over (I'm looking at you, bortasqu), and a range of options to play with.
Sci : TSS 1 + HE 2 + gravity well 1
tac : TT + AP:B + scatter volley 2+3
tac : TT + TS 2
universal (engi) : EPtS 1
engi : EPtA 1 (I use it for GW) + EPtS 2
It's probably an unusual build, but I like it, trapping the ships on the well, then using scatter volley, ap:b, sensor scan and TS to nuke them to oblivion. Also, it's fun as support, using TSS, HE and team fortress for my teamates.
It works wonder on STF, currently I only do normal ones with this character, except once, when I selected elite by mistake. Still, we did the optional.

Wishes for STO in 2014:
Borg Armor/Implant Bodysuits for Existing Liberated Borg Captains, Dominion/Cardassian Faction?, More STFs and end game content, More Undine and Iconian story progression, More Sectors and Sector Blocks. Also at least 25% reduction of new bugs added to the game.
Sad This ship has the Turn rate and Console and Boff layout that the Dreadnought Galaxy X should have. I drool thinking what that ship would be able to do with its current Hull points and the Breen cruisers Boffs and console layout. I run on my breen the Full Romulan set with the Romulan hyper Torp, a Romulan Dual beam bank and 2 Romulan DHC, 2 Romulan turrets and 1 romulan beam array and the Romulan Expermental beam array all XII purple. That build prob cost 200k DIl or more lol. It does very, very well PVE. Hince being all plasma build. Due to the color from the Romulan and Breen sets I named it the Emerald Star. Im just waiting on unlocking the Consoles from the Embassy that boost plasma damage and then it should be even more deadly. One glitch. The Prototype plasma projectiles from the Breen and Romulan sets fire so fast with the Hyper plasma launcher and running 3 purple torp Doffs that you can't see them. only hear them fire. and see the hits on the target, so I guess I now have invisible plasma torps like the Borg.
Is there any reason why people don't use escort-type builds on a high turn cruiser that can equip cannons like this?
Or, for that matter, why not just use a beam boat loadout and replace the standard torpedo with a DHC?
I've had a lot of success using it as a Tricobalt bomber with beam arrays. The turning rate is great for Bomb runs. Could I do something similar with DHCs? probably... don't really feel like it though. I've come to despise 45? firing arc weapons...
All that typing aside I love this ship!! Debating on going back to my original layout with both the Omega Torp and romulan hyper torp so i can spam Plasma torps like they are going out of style.. The advantage i see is that the OMEGA torp doesn't suffer from damage drop over distance like energy weapons do..
OH and DOFF layout is as follows
x3 Purple Torp doffs
x1 Evasive maneuvers doff
x1 Tholian 10% damage increase VS borg doff.
The ship is garbage imo, i used it for 2 hours when i first got it 2 weeks ago and its been shelved ever since.
The turn rate is ok, but not as good as an escort, the hull is to low to be a cruiser and my fleet tac escort has more sittin at 49,750.
The console that it comes with is a joke, green quality garbage. Cant expect much more from a free ship i guess.
That last thing i hate about it is the fact it comes with no original bridge...Standard federation bridge on an alien ship, that makes sense right?
If I even had the slightest desire to hop back in this ship , it would be on my tactical officer. Ive tried it on my engineer and it just doesn't compare to my fleet ships. But even my tac's fleet ship is far superior for what I do..I do not PVP so my opinions about this ship are in regards to the PVE play style.
