If you copy several objects at once, and at least one of them has a default text, then multiple copies of that default text get added to all of the objects.

To recreate simply create an object or NPC contact with a default text. Then place several other objects. Select all of them and copy them, then paste them to another map. All of the objects will now be set to display default text, and have copies of the default text associated with them.

If multiple objects have default text associated with them, they'll all be copied, with multiple default texts associated with each object, only many of them will not work properly since only one can be displayed. You then have to go through and delete all of the extra dialogue trees. This is a bit risky since there's a chance of making a mistake and erasing a dialogue that you don't want to.

This also occurs when you duplicate a map that has objects or npcs with default text.
All of the default text dialogs imprint themselves onto everything on the map that can accept default dialogs.

It is amazingly annoying.
