Strange problem trying to do this quest.

Did the first two steps, got a class 8 shuttle.

Went to Starfleet, switched to the shuttle.

However, when I beam to the ship, I'm still in my D'Kyr Science vessel.

I dropped the quest and restarted from the beginning, and still beam into the D'Kyr.

Having read the walkthroughs, I am confused as how to proceed.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

There is no issue. Recently Cryptic changed the system so that all you need to do is select a small craft as your designated active small craft. If you go to the episode starting area, you will switch to your shuttle automatically, without having to switch ships at a shipyard. This is the same for Operation Gamma and Vault Ensnared.
