A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
Bust out some solo friendly Omega mark content or bring on the next faction.
I can wait on the faction, but I agree with the idea of having solo Omega Mark acquisitions.
I boycotted STFs months ago, because i was burned out on them. If there was another way to obtain Omega Marks on the solo level, that would be well-welcomed, IMO.

The above line depicts where my signature would start, since the "new" forum format still doesn't utilize one of the basic concepts on how forums should work.
What is with all the personal attacks? Romulan Marks have numerous of ways for people of all types to get. Omega Marks are limited to team content. Not everyone teams up so there should be solo friendly content for people to get Omega Marks. If the devs have to satisfy people that require STFs to do anything, then they should satisfy people that have an aversion to doing raids.
Based on your attitude I'm sure you've seen worse. Again, I don't care what you do for RM's. I simply want ways that are more pleasant and rewarding for ME beyond epohh banging.
See? I don't want ANY options taken from you, I don't want you to have to "suck" anything, up or down. Now, if after this, you STILL want to argue with strawmen, you'll be doing so alone.
How do you figure that? It's a game, not a episode of Star Trek. As a game there needs to be things in the game that give people goals to achieve. The more goals the longer people play. They can't simply keep adding in more goals that can be achieved in a day or two, so they add in things that take a fair amount of time.
I have news for you, every MMO out there does the same thing.
This is not new content though and that is what all MMOs do no new race no new area. Then there is really no pvp areas where you can go and fight others without being in queue

What's unrealistic about it? If anything it's more line with Star Trek then some of the other things out there. Running around New Rom, scanning life forms and the like is very much in keeping with the general ST feel.
That said, it's quite clear that the players are in fact quite busy doing this. They may never visit New Rom once they hit T5, but most people will in fact do the grind to hit T5 and get the goodies they want.
What is unrealistic about show me one episode of ToS,TmP,TNG,DS9 and Voyager where the captains are doing projects. They explore get into the odd skirmish and do reports but No projects.
With that said I refined my Patrol Escort and went out did 6 elites and now need 200 more omega marks for the borg type 11 shield.
It would be nice if there were one or two Borg Missions (daily) where you could get at least one Omega Mark when you finish. There are lots of people that don?t like doing STFs all the time and just want to do one mission by themselves to get that last remaining Omega Mark they need to start a project.

If you want to apply that logic, then your captain shouldn't be doing anything. No away missions, not controlling the ship in combat, ect... The whole game would become nothing more then the Doff system.
We need a Romulan mark mission that is elite stf difficulty and length and gives similar marks. I think the amount of Omega marks given by elite is fine, but more variety of elite stf will always be welcome. I just hope they don't add something like epohh tagging for omega marks, we don't need anyone in Mk XII MACO that earned all the marks for it by mostly being afk aside for a few min of tagging and doing doff missions.
Please Devs look into doing something like this. Even if some of the repeatable missions gave 25 rom marks i'd be happier. Grinds are bad enough, but at least if you see progress being made they are more tollerable.
There are missions in the Tau Dewa patrol that you can do in about 4 minutes. You can easily complete it enough times in 30 minutes. Then wait for the reputation bonus event. Turn it in for 75 marks. Rinse and repeat.
All that is needed is to have elite versions of the current Romulan queue events. Having Romulan STFs takes lots of time that can be added for content that more people can enjoy. The Romulan queue events are just like the normal STFs and would only take a little work adding tougher mobs and whatever else is required to make an elite version.
Personally, I don't see the point of adding Romulan STFs since there is almost nothing at Tier 5. Doing the Tau Dewa Daily every day is sufficient to get to Tier 5. The only impressive items are the weapons and fighters and not everyone needs the fighters. Compare that to Omega reputation and there is a ton more cool stuff for people to get at Tier 5. The Omega space sets are far better than the Romulan space sets. One of the Romulan space sets is almost identical to the other.
If STO had a large dev team that could do a couple of STFs every couple of months, then it would not be an issue. However, they have to prioritize and not everyone likes STFs so focusing on a certain group of players while ignoring others is not good practice. They already have a bad practice of ignoring certain groups of players. [cough]PvPers[/cough] [cough]KDF faction[/cough]
