Now that you've fixed the bugs, the kumari is one of the tankyest ships, with some of the highest DPS in STO...

Proposed ways to fix:
Lower Shield Mult to 0.6 And Lower hull base to 29k. That way its a true glass cannon.

Other ways ofc

Make Cannons unique to 4. No more then 4 DHCs/DCs on a ship at once. 5 DHCs is destructively powerful.

Everyone whos argument is Power drain: Please do some math.

Normal Escort 4 DHCs 12 each. 3 Turrets 8 each.
12x4+3x8=72 Power... Sustainable through Power buffs, where u can stay above 100 power.
Kumari
5 DHCs at 12 power 2 turrets at 8 power.
12x5+2x8=76.

All you people complaining about drain: Why? What does FOUR power do? Its FOUR Power, Its very manageable to compensate for FOUR more power. Come on, if I can sustain 4 DHCs/3 turrets in a JHAS with 101-105 power, I can sustain a Kumari with 5 DHCs and 2 turrets at 98-102 power.

POWER IS NOT AN ISSUE.

I will admit to some oddities when confronted with first strike assults on my kumari, it seems my crew repairs the hull very fast when within the 80% range, takes 3 seconds to bring it back up to 100% without any buffs, this is with 10 crew after a harsh assult.

but I do have to state, it is very much a glass cannon, I have been killed so many times it aint funny anymore, but I do some considerable damage before I die so yea...there is that.

As for the shields, damage is quite harsh on them, three shots and shields are gone, but again the hull reps very freaking fast.

Not sure where your getting the idea its much of a tank, the best boff layout for tanking is still the exact same setup you would do on a jem hadar attackship, and pretty much the same as the fleet patrol escort as well. On the other hand its shields, hull, speed, and turn rate are all lower than the jem hadar attack ship, and i think lower than the fleet patrol escort. If you want to say its a better tank than a fleet defiant ok, i will go with you there, but thats about it.

As to damage, if anything its still under powered. The versions that have any survivability lack a 5th tac console slot like the jem hadar attack ship has, and the one that does have the 5th tac console has what has to be the worst boff layout i have ever seen, even worse than than the fleet defiant and that takes some effort.

For $50 I expect a powerful ship, this one so far has been nothing but a let down and I will probably go back to my jem hadar attack ship if its not improved. Considering what a revolutionary ship the Vesta set was for science officers this ship set is a joke so far.

The whole point of the ship is to introduce the 5 cannon capability.

Nerfing anything is bad, just work around the problems or buy the ship.
If your post is anything like, "I have a sandwich so you can't be starving" it's time to rethink posting.

This ship introduces the 5 cannon capability in a ship... that can tank like Escorts with 4 Cannons, and turn like escorts with 4 cannons. In no way is 1 extra cannon worth... 1 less turret. IN ANY WORLD

I have to agree with the OP on this.

Ones bad enough. Run into a pack of them and the games not even worth the effort. I don't really understand how this contributes to the betterment of the game of PvP.

The only ship that can put out op insane dps, is the Tac version, but That gives up boff layout for the 5th Tac slot. Which makes it the squishiest of the three ships and is therefore the "glass" cannon.
The other two lose the 5th Tac console slot in favour of more survivability, which is the trade off.

It's about time the Feds get a ship that can stick it to the Klingons!

Almost every PVP match I've played since the beginning of STO the Klingons seem totally overpowered and the majority of matches the Klingons clean house.

Nothing will ever be perfect, Cryptic will probably tweak the attributes. It's just a matter of time.

I Have seen a few of the Kumaris take a beating, but they don't last as long as you think.

and the other fact is, the damage they put out is definately more, you are mistaking OP for minorly unbalanced for specific forms of the kumari, in all three classes the Kumari class is the least able to take a hit, even the Kyzon class cant take much of a beating. the Charal class can take a few hits before getting taken down.

three shots on the Kumari can wipe its shields, five in the Kyzon can wipe its shields, six in the Charal can wipe its shields. The only difference between the three, the Charon and Kyzon can rep the shields fast, and the Charon can specialize in repairing the hull.

it is supposed to have its damage, it is supposed to be this way. dont cry NERF whenever something new comes to the field. they do some hard damage, and with the right boff setup they can take a beating before quickly dying.

the Fleet Defiant tanks harder than the Kumari does FFS.

when did PvP ever enter the equation? the ships contribute to one thing, and one thing only; keeping the game servers up and running, and the staff paid, since hundreds of thousands of players are sinking money into the things
