I prefer the Probert Version as well...

There's always hope that Cryptic will add it at some later date.

The art team did extensive research on the base model of the Enterprise-C, including looking at official IP sources. The images they saw did not have escape pods on the underside of the saucer (and *I* don't think there is a torpedo launcher, either, as Azurian pointed out). If there are any canon resources out there that have these two features, post them in this thread and I will pass them along

I've never seen an Enterprise C without battle scars...where are her scars...I know this is the ship model, but for your special mission will the old girl have her scars...what are you sneaky dev's planning TELL ME!!!



She looks niiice, I've never liked that class, but you guys did a great job on her.

As far as the Torpedo launchers go...

Perhaps it was an experiment on this class to have them behind a movable panel...???

Well the NCC-1701 had then, so did the NCC-1701-A and NCC-1701-B.

Also they certainly are indicated in the design sketches.

They are located about the same area were they always been in the Enterprise, right above the deflector.

Also the Galaxy also does not have a clearly visible tube launcher, you have to zoom pretty close to notice it.

If memory serves (and it mostly does), the Enterprise-C does not have escape pods on the ventral saucer, while the Yamaguchi variant DOES. One would hope, given the anticipation, that Cryptic will have BOTH skins available, and not just the Enterprise-C variant.

About the torp launcher

Taken from Memory Alpha:

The image depicts a small launcher type area which is reminiscent of the galaxy class area from what i believe is the 'notched' engraving which is far to precise to be battle damage...
