Since when are Starfleet ships built out of concrete?

So inhumane superweapons, mass murder, and canon nonsense is okay, but speedos are too much for some people.

Unfortunately half of the Enterprise was a low budget mess. Have you seen some of the concept work for the engineering sections? They look incredible.

I see, that makes the beer facility interior even more depressing.

Also:

If Nero drilled down to the lava layer of earth, wouldn't that have created a volcano in the middle of San Francisco Bay?

[i][color="Red"]No, the pressure from the drill would of kept the lava from coming up, when the drill deactivated, the water would rush in the hole and cool the lava.

My high school chemistry tells me that still would have created a large explosion of superheated rock, steam, and lava.

The Eng Room looks like a sewage treatment plant I use to work at.

It's not concrete, it's a highly advanced polymer-based material that just happens to look like concrete. Just like how the highly advanced 23rd century materials of the original TOS just happened to look like cheap plastic.

I would be more concerned why alien planets always consist of either the same 8 pieces of suspiciously plastic stone or appear to be one of three places in Southern California.
