No, what I am saying is that a fleet version of that ship class could beat them. Examples are Fleet Assault Cruiser Vs Odyssey, the FAC will win. FRSV vs Vesta, FRSV will probably win. That's what I meant. Ship class, not those ships specifically.

dea for an escort or destroyer 3 pack lets call it the loki class
engemering class would built in 10+ power to engines special console emergency damage replicators would give instant 75 percent hull repair cool down 3 minutes and extra 500 hull mmodifier.
tac version extra 10 + power to weapons special console isomagnetic caannon does 10000 kinetic damage to bare targets shieelded targets it has 30 percent shield bleedthrough same fire arc as dhc 3 minute cooldown
science version 10+ power to auxillary redmatter black hole generator is the special console deploys 4 black holes around ship which suck in fighters and toredoes and ship to close gets same damage as a gravity well 3 5 minute cooldown

agreed, there's an escort for any roll. sci: MVAM eng: steamrunner/FPE tac: tac escort/ bug ship. as the game is right now the escort can do just about anything. The only reason they have the 3 packs is to give more flexibility to those who want to use cruisers or sci ships.

besides we don't need more escorts in an already escort heavy game.

Yes, we know what a 3-pack would mean ... something that would dwarf the Vesta, make the KDF cry even harder and make this Escorts Online or rather *a* Escort Online.

So you're saying Escorts don't deserve a ship with a Lt. Com Universal station, even though the Odyssey has one of those in each of its variants? And Escorts don't deserve a ship with three special console powers, and a 3-console set bonus?

Your whole argument forgets that the Odyssey was a retreat of several previous cruisers, too. We had a cruiser with Lt. Com Tactical before Odyssey. It was called Excelsior. We also had a cruiser with a Lt. Com engineering station and saucer separation. It was called the Galaxy Retrofit. So why, again, should Escorts not get a 3-pack?

Your argument however is nullified because before the Odyssey there was no cruiser with a LtCmdr Science. And as multiple users have already stated, escorts are powerful enough as is, and there are enough of them to do EVERY bloody role in the game. We don't need more escorts. We don't need more science ships. We don't need more cruisers. FFS we don't need more fed ships.

Take your ideas, and GIVE THEM TO THE KDF.
