Even that isn't an issue. Everything is easily manageable by just keeping a watchful eye open and compensating for your teammates deficiencies.

Keep an eye on Kang in CSE, keep an eye on the probes in KASE. If you have good situational awareness you can tell when someone else is screwing up or not pulling their weight and you can adjust. The only time I fail optionals is when I screw up because I'm not paying attention to what other people may or may not be doing.

Nope, ground STFs are a lot easier. It's just a gankfest on helpless groups of Cmdr level npcs you can almost one shot. There's one dangerous mob per group, focus on it and it's done.

People saying one should "downgrade" gear or ships or anything are [censored].
Would you mind explaining the purpose of such endgame ships or equipment?
So you don't use?

The fact remains that eSTFs are too easy for endgame gear.
If you don't have a proper set of endgame gear you're not entitled to speak out on this matter.

They should add another class of difficulty that is unlocked though completing an Mk XI ground or space set and that is difficult enough to make good use of them.

People are looking for a progression that simply is not there.

It's not a case that starting at 44 you do RSTF1 to get some gear that you need to do RSTF2 to get some gear that you need to RSTF3 to get some gear that you need to RSTF4 so that when you hit 50 you have what you need to ESTF1 to get some gear that you need to do ESTF2 to get some gear you need to do ESTF3 to get some gear you need to do ESTF4... in the hope that you're ready for when ESTF5 is released.

That's not there.

It's even less there than it was before S7 started.

Now, you show up for the ESTF in your hodgepodge of gear with a clue. As long as the other four show up in their hodgepodge of gear with a clue and you work as a team... you're getting it done.

There is no progression.

There is a progression of gear - but it's not a progression you need. It's a want. You want X. You don't need X. Then there's Y. You want Y. You don't need Y any more than you needed X. Then there's Z. You want Z. You don't need Z any more than you needed X or Y.

That's what's there.

You grind A for X so you can do A faster so you can get Y when it's available. When you've got Y, you grind A still - faster again - so you can get Z when it's available.

That's what's there.

@OP,

Lol you grieve because you consider STFs the only worthwhile endgame content. How about trying something new and use your l33t gear to kirk out other pve content. Oh you think Sto has none? Real content is exploration, foundry files, maybe some role play if you're into that kind of stuff and other weird sto events. Maybe even repeating the episodes and reading through all the texts. Some of it (if not most) have intelligent story line with epic plots. Try it and if you don't like it, that's your ******n loss!

Star Trek is not about destroying things, and if you keep at it you will burn out. After I obtained all the gear and optional accolades I needed, I now use them solely as a mean to an end (quick dil, ec and gear). So I like that they're now easy as hell on elite mode with a properly geared team and it's good that I sail through them in less than 10min. It's true STFs have story with its own plot as well, then again you become so familiar with it you don't even care anymore after a couple of runs. The only STF thing that still has any value at the moment is the loot reward, why would you want it to be hard getting to it faster? Anyways, that's my two cents.
Forum fun murdered. No longer in service.

Isn't everything easy after you've done it a million times? Like um... walking? I bet the first time you did that it wasn't so easy. New (official) end-game content is needed and more promotion of good foundry stuff. When Hive came out, there were masses of complaints that it was too hard, cries for a nerf, etc. Is that because it was any more difficult or just because we hadn't breezed through it a billion times? Just saying.....

You could re-run the story in the ships you ran it the first time on Elite difficulty. Get a team made of the three diffierent classes and go for all the optionals on all the story missions while you're at it. There are still lots of ways to have fun in this game.
