Nice work. I just built a similar one with science crates sunk into the floor because I like their reflective surfaces. The only downside with science crates are they have rods in the corners that stick up a lttle. http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/i/20...es-d5sniuy.jpg

If you positioned them just right, the round posts would overlap each other perfectly and give the floor a more tiled look. But that would give you a square grid pattern unlike a Fed transporter and the hexagonal pattern they usually use.

You could probably arrange them like <>, which would look vaguely hexagonal but distinct. Might be useful to distinguish some new race's teleport pad style.

I can give a full list of parts I used for this, if people want. From memory...

One of the Ceiling Light models (for the white bulb)
A red ray effect for the transporter
Blue fog (NOT "blue smoke")
Several of the Connectors for base transporter pad
Another Ceiling Light (blue) for center overhead bulb

I like the utilitarian look it has.

Thanks

If you want to see it in person, it's in the only Foundry mission (so far) published under my handle, @stardestroyer001

Could be very nice for a cargo transporter, or one designed to beam in small craft like shuttles and fighters.

I think you're all being too hard on yourselves.

ALL these transporters look better than anything I've seen in-game.

These are kind of bad, tbh.
Why re-create the wheel? Are the pads in-game not available to foundry authors? Are there no textures for the TOS and TNG federation pads?
