the ridiculous op dom set is jokes. ultra low cd, insane power. "analyze weakness" is guaranteed (1) systems offline for any attack (only have to deal 15000)
The consoles are good. But in order for somebody to make good use of them they first need to sink alittle under 200million ECs into it.
Then they need to take off two consoles to apply the new ones, more then likely harming their previous performance in order to do so, less turn, less resist, less damage etc.
To mK best use of the smexy new consoles he also needs to be in a good team. Alone among pugs it's less well.
Can the Dominion Consoles be used on the JHAS? With 5 Tac Slots and 4 Engineering Slots, it can spare 2 slots for the Consoles without sacrificing much.

BEFORE the new Lockbox kit, when I saw a Jem bug, I knew that unless the bugship pilot was blind, crippled, drunk or spastic, I was going to die a LOT-regardless of ride, regardless of what gear, settings, etc. I had-because the Bugship is a thoroughbred example of "that much better from the start" in ship design for this game's mechanics. Even someone with a room temperature IQ can build it effectively, so it was either get upset (counterproductive) or get apathetic about it being there-(more productive-unless the whole team are in Bugships, there's still a chance to win prior to the Lockbox-you just had to kill his buddies before he killed you).
Let us review for a moment: NOW it gets a console that does what used to be a science-captain only power (Knocking out subsystems for an extended period in-game), and a console that grants APO to the entire team (which is quite a bit better, really, than the Tac captain power that buffs your damage since this also buffs defense!) Tailored for use, of course, on the single ship in the entire game that has no flaws or weaknesses.
Now? Okay, Cryptic...what do the REST of us get to counter this cheesy bull****?

If the bug ship is required than perhaps there are plans to re-introduce it as a Lobi Store ship or a C-Store ship in future? How else could they account for the requirement when clearly, it is unobtainable by the majority of players?!?

It's to get people to purchase it and reduce/extinct the amount of salable bugs in existence, likely as a prelude to making it available again for purchase at a later date as part of a C-Store promotion or in preparation for the launch of a Dominion faction sometime down the road. Given that its not likely we'd see a Dominion faction anytime this year, or even next year, my money is on the former assertion over the latter.
This is not a proper solution by any means. There are already too many JHAS's polluting PvP as it is. Whereas I used to only see 1 on any given team, now I see at least 2 or more.
I don't even like the Bug and I certainly don't want one. It's not the end-all ship in an ideal 1 on 1 but it certainly skews the odds in team PvP without any real skill required, just proper BOFF loadout and gear/Doff's.
Many of the people who have the Jem Bug paid a lot of money for it and I don't want to see it nerfed but Cryptic needs to do something to balance PvP to make many of the other VA ships viable, C-store, Lockbox or otherwise.
Personally, I feel a considerable defense nerf to speed/maneuverability would be the best option. I know a lot of Escort pilots would shout BOO! but Fighters were never meant to tank. If you're taking heat, you pop Omega and/or Evasive and heal up.
