Question question for the Log Parsing crowd:

Do you all have the "Accurate" space trait with the characters you are testing with?

I'll provide a complete write-up later today, but here is some preliminary data from a 2.5h+ test:

Defense: 67.7% (includes 10% elusive)
Bonus Accuracy: 25.0% (includes 10% accurate)

Without FAW:

Plain beam array: 89%
Acc2 beam array: 93%

With FAW:

Plain beam array: 69%
Acc2 beam array: 69%

Turrets for comparison:

Plain turret: 70%
Acc2 turret: 83%

(Expected value from cannon formula: plain 70%; acc2 81.5%)

The non-FAW beam values are definitely weird. Their are way outside of what my beam accuracy formula predicts. Maybe I wasn't imagining things when I once thought that range entered into these equations at least for beams. I'll make some charts to test some theories.

After almost 3 years its safe to say anyone that did not have accurate and elusive on there first toon... has long since deleted it or assigned it to farming duty.

my old KDF tac has nether accurate or elusive, he was far to developed to bench. somehow i managed to get accurate on my main fed, but not elusive. it was maid long before i knew better, just got lucky. my newest around season 6 now main kdf is a proper acc/elusive alien though. all 3 i play equal amounts usually.

luckily stahl said retraiting will be ready for season 8, cant wait for that

Does range figure into the 'to hit' formula at all? It would explain potentially why cannons appear to be less accurate since they suffer greater range penalties.

Not so... I'm pretty active in PvP. And my main is not accurate, as a matter of fact since I've spent so much on gear and so on, I can't consign him to non-playing duty. And in my fleet one of the mains of one of our most active PvPer is not accurate or elusive (especially since he's human)

Anyway. Thanks for looking into this, Bort. I use beams almost exclusively on all ships (yes, even escorts) and was hoping FAW would get, at the very least, looked into.

Yeah I cannot WAIT for that. All three mains in my sig are from opening day and all three need retraits.

If the KDF can get a Fleet D7 (That can be upgraded to a T5-U), the Feds should have a Fleet Exeter.
