Thanks man, I was really worried it would make everything start like kvk matches, thankfully it justs seems like more of a get out of binds/planned ahead escapes bit, good news.
The Somraw, K'tinga, D'Kyr, D7, Kumari, Xindi carrier, Xindi escort, and the T'Varo are all older than the Constitution Refit and yet they are tier 5. The Constellation is made up primarily of Connie refit parts and it is tier 5, there is no logical reason whatsoever for the no tier 5/6 connie rule.

PVP was *never* only for the dedicated.

Look:
1. PVP is totally risk-free... no cost to enter, no penalty when you lose your ship, nothing. Zero negative consequences.
2. You get the same rewards (daily completion, dilith, ec, etc) win or lose. There isn't even a history of your comulative record anywhere.
3. There is no cool-down or lock-out time for PVP the way there is for STFs, so if you mess up, just respawn and try again!

These 3 above points make it very clear that anyone, no matter what kind of fit, should have no reservations about PVPing at least a couple times every day for some easy EC and dilith. It's way more noob-friendly than eliteSTFs are (and even then, the only consequence for failure is having to wait an hour to try again).

I think what the op meant was is it for only people who go over and over their build getting every 0.1% extra damage here and there perfecting their Manoeuvres buff and debuff execution

That's the way I read it anyway and if that is he case then yeah it is

Someone coming in with a build where someone has spent hours on end getting that extra purple tactical console so they get a 28.1 bonus to damage instead of a relatively cheap easy to obtain blue which gives 26.6% damage or someone who could only afford a couple of exchange market dhcs against someone who has full fleet dhcs

Therefore pvp is only possible for people who spend there lives on here...granted there will be natural talents like there is In everything

But you can't tell me that a person who spends an hour or so after work is going to be as good as someone who plays day in day out and doesn't really bother with work because of Star Trek

Plus pvp is a rich mans game be it either rich in money or rich in game time to earn dilit/ec/fleet marks/ romulan marks/ omega rep marks(whatever or wherever they move the goalpost next)

You can't tell me it's not

Don't get me wrong I love casually dabbling in pvp as i think that its the benchmark you lead to as you move up in rank(playing against ever changing opponent) but I will never be as good as the person who has spent 2k a month and only takes a break from the screen to top his coffee mug up

But no balance in the world will change this it's the law of physics the more time you spend doing something the better you are and human nature the more money you blow on something the better you'll be(not a pay2win dig)
----=====This is my opinion you don't have to listen and no one else has to read them these "OPINIONS" are based on my exploits and my learning other people will have their opinions and that's fine just don't knock my way of doing things thanks=====----

Ofc most people are min maxers when it comes to pvp but there are many like me who dont care for 1%more damage per console to grind millions of ec and still do "fine" when it comes to pvp.

LOL LOL LOL...

I am a PvE'r, PvP'r, RP'r. I do everything this game has to offer. I am just not a "cool" whiner PvP player like you want all PvP'rs to be so you can add purpose to a cause, your cause. I think Cyrptic is doing a fine job with expanding and evolving this game. I don't think anything should remain constant. But that is all I see from the OPvP community. They want PvP to never change and to remain the same. Every time something new comes out it "breaks" or "un-balances" PvP and that is just not true. The fact is they just don't want to adapt, learn a new tactic to overcome the ability, add more skill to their already awesome skill. But that is what they want you to believe.

I have no doubt the OPvP is good at what they do in PvP, just stop complaining about everything and anything that comes out that you just think is OP or un-balanced. Think of it as Cryptic giving you a new hurdle to jump over, adapt and become even better. That's what I do.

And just cause I don't frequent the public queues, or belong to a "super cool" premade like they do (lol if there even is such a thing) , doesn't mean I don't know this game and PvP.

I am glad I don't let anything offend me like some...

I guess OPvP gets offended easily?

I shall continue on...

I PVP alot with my Fleet, if there are 10 of us on we send out a message break into groups and have fun. When I do decide to PUG and its vs a premade the entire time from the fist contact my ship will be on never ending cooldown with Weps off line and no ability to turn and nice colors and sparkles all over my hull. Then focus fire from all 5 of the other players. Then some comment about getting pwoned. So is this fun? No. When I PVP with my friends its dog fighting and exciting and an all around good time. But being disabled with no ability to move or fight back or heal for the entire match is why the public PUG matches are just no fun and not worth even going into anymore.

I think your correct in that assessment also that there have been taken alot of power away from being just one guy in the Queue if someone is running extend loop the loop, or grav pulse spam, or 5 aceton assimilators, or all things combined with carrier pets and scramble and subnuke when your without buffs.. Well. Its not fun to que up your not participating anymore your just a victim.

A lot of PvPers, who are also OPvPers, aren't in premades. So that's not it at all.

People look at you with derision because of your attitude to the gametype and its community. And because of your silly ideas of game balance.

One cannot jump over the hurdle if one is rooted to the floor with superglue.

That is what happens when Cryptic releases new stuff that hasn't been tested properly. It then comes onto Holodeck, someone finds the bug and exploit, people complain, Cryptic finds out and fixes the bug, then releases something else, creating more bugs.

And the vicious cycle goes on and on.

On another note your sig about PVP ruining STO is highly inaccurate. Nobody is ruining STO. Everybody, from PVE'ers to PVP'ers to RP'ers, etc. is contributing to it's success, whether in big or small ways.

And you're also highly inaccurate about another thing: not everybody that frequents OPvP get's offended easily.
