I don't mean the Tholian fights. I don't mean the mission itself. I can HANDLE all that. So nobody come in here harking on me that I shouldn't whine about the 'oh so easy' mission, etc etc, that's not what this is about.
My gripe, and reason I sound rather ticked, to put it mildly, is that the Dewen history accolades are a major pain to get, because you only get ONE tablet each time you enter the cave, and the worst part is...
It's random, totally so.
Also, all these tablets, regardless of which one, only appear past the Tholian forcefield you have to shut down. But most of the tablets though are in the two large rooms with all the groups of Tholians to fight, meaning you have to run all the way through, just to find most of the time, a tablet you already translated.
Seriously, why?
It's random, only one at a time, and you have to go all the way through. I must've gone through there a dozen times today alone, to only get parts 1, 2, 7, and 8, and then repeat the same ones over and over.
There's NO reason why. I know someone made a choice to do that, but it wasn't a wise choice, because already so much of the time, it's a waste because you find a tablet you don't need anyways. Besides, there's enough randomness in so many other things, I don't need my missions to start being this way.
This mission is NOT the Romulan Datalogs, you can't trade it or anything, once you get the accolade, you get the accolade. So again, why is it random?

Now, my solutions for this extremely annoying problem:
1. Once you get a tablet, you can't get that map again, so you are guaranteed to get a new map, and thus a new tablet, eventually finishing them all and getting the finished accolade, followed by just resetting your 'list', or just giving a basic map with none of the tablets, or just something, so you can still do the mission.
2. Put all the tablets in the map, and remove the whole 'random' part to begin with. The simpler idea, and removes the ridiculousness of this thing in the first place.
One thing I have noticed when looking at the "Last Days of the Dewans" accolade set is that Part 3 is labeled specifically, as opposed to the other ones which are just labeled as tablets until they are acquired. That leaves me wondering whether Part 3 can even be obtained in the Overgrown Caves mission, or if it is in another mission like the ones for T4/T5; any chance we could get a hint on this?
The OP's idea would be nice as well.
Update: Found Part 3 in Overgrown Caves, finally. Took long enough.
