Since the Jem'Hadar carriers got advanced and elite versions of their hangar items available for purchase, what about going back and making advanced and elite versions of the widow fighters available? It should be only fair since the Recluse relies on having widows equipped to make it's console work.

To copy the progression pattern set forth by the Romulan fighters, an Elite Widow would have

Tetryon beam array
Tetryon turret
Quantum torpedo
High Yield 1

Though I think it would be more interesting to give them

Tetryon beam array (massive damage buff to make this function as the "extra gun")
Beam Overload 1
Quantum torpedo


While we're at it,

Overhaul the tetryon grid so that it actually does some damage. I logged it in use and it adds an effectively pointless amount of damage. It either needs to do really impressive damage to justify the long cooldown, or it needs to have a really short cooldown to justify the small bonus. My thinking on this was that it should have a 1 minute cooldown. When used, it applies a momentary drain to YOUR weapon power while all your Widows do double damage with energy weapons for 10 seconds.

The console actually scales with tetryon damage consoles and weapon power, it's not as bad as you think. Still, that's about 10-11k damage with every figher out, so yeah, it's pretty so-so.

Recluse's console is bad? Well, it's still always better than the Mobius' suicide console.

I agree there should be upgrades for the Widows like everything else.

Not quantum torps but thermonic torps. I'd also love to see an attack pattern on the elite version of it. Would be fun to see your wing using APO I, just because it's funny.

I agree on the console, it's really not a great one.

Switching quantums for thermionics would be a pretty big dps loss for the fighters though.

I would love to have the Widows and tetryon grid console be worth my time. I wanted to use them on my Recluse, but I just couldn't justify the loss of DPS versus using other fighters.

if the recluse gets advanced/elite pets, then so should the Atrox. right now the caitian fighters arent that good.

That would be pretty cool for the fighters and it would be nice if they gave a little more umph to the Tetryon Grid!
