Having 5 Human Boff is extremely overpowered. Having tested it, it has overshadowed the efficient trait and possibly even better than the new Romulan crit chance boffs. These Boffs stack linearly and provide a +100 to Starship Subsystem Repair when having 5 equipped. This renders several science abilities useless such as target subsystem and viral matrix. Viral matrix is reduced from a 14 second disable to a 3 second disable, practically negligible. Don't forget that leadership also provides another bonus, starship hull regeneration. This also gains a 100% starship hull regeneration when stacking 5 of them and each one gains +20% to hull regeneration. This would be comparable to the Assimilated Borg set 2-piece proc that gives a large hull regeneration except that there is no duration attached to the leadership trait. This would negate any damage that utilizes damage over time such as plasma torpedo/energy, hargh'peng torpedo, eject warp plasma, etc. Please support this thread to get this trait revised!
True, since 2010. It took them 3 years to fix leadership so it actually works... so yeah, don't worry..they are looking at it...

A litany of curses against any science-related ability in the game. Yes leadership is OP - stacking a bunch of BOffs shouldn't give you near-immunity against a commander level science ability. Could you imagine the rage if you could stack 5 BOff's and get 90% passive resistance to Cannon: Rapid Fire? That's basically what this is, but since it's not the "cool" class that gets affected, no one cares.
I have to ask, why do all DPS related player skills like "Starship Weapons Training" or "Starship Energy Weapons" sit at tiers 1 and 2, and all damage resistance abilities like "Starship Hull Plating" and "Starship Armor Reinforcements" sit at tiers 4 and 5?
Yet a science disable skill like "Subspace Decompiler" sits at tier 5, and its counter "Subsystem Repair" sits at tier 2?
IMO all science counters need to be moves to tiers 4 and 5 so people have to spend more character points to resist science abilities. Subspace Decompiler needs to be moved to tier 2. Also remove the subsystem repair buff from the Leadership trait.

It's not op in the slightest. Tested it myself as well. How else do you expect to get more immunity other than the skill tree? And we all know the skill tree is bugged when it comes to power insulators. I suppose you'll whine about that too when it gets fixed to "working as intended"
Want some cheese?
Science has been out of balance for a while. Nice to see it put in its place again.
And, no, there is nothing wrong with leadership. You can still kill your enemy. It just might take a little more skill and one or two seconds more.
