As everyone knows in the movie the Scimitar had the ``perfect cloak`` according to Geordi

It was able to fire both torps AND disruptors while cloaked! And had shields while cloaked!!

So what kind of cloak should it have in game?

An ``Advanced/Superior Battle Cloak`` that allows some shields and weapons power under cloak and allows the Scimitar to still fire?

The Current Enhanced battle cloak only allows torps - like the version from the BOP in Star Trek 5

So how do we deal with what was seen in film - canon - with what should happen in game?

Standard Battle going by the NPC ships. Ability to cloak but they'll have to decloak to fire weapons.

But why have a worse cloak than what was in the movie? I mean should it not be Enhanced Battle cloak at bare Minimum?

So in other words ... "I win" button. Run around cloaked "alpha-striking" ship after ship while laughing all the way. What a great idea ...

You would seriously want perfect cloak in game?

Slightly overpowered there... look someone's firing at us and we can se them or fire back..

At least this k before you make posts that don't sound silly lol

That cloak is to good for gameplay many people just like geordi will scream nerf

Besides whos to say that wasn't the only cloak to exsist? the other scimtars in the game dont have it.

Because gameplay has to be taken into consideration, if they added the movie cloak then it would be OP against all other ships.

The plot for that movie was pretty bad anyway and the cloak was only use for the plot development. IMO having a playable Scimitar is just the next in another very long list of mistakes by PWE and Cryptic.

Ok I definetly see the need for balance vs canon - obviously if it was like canon it would be able to destroy 3 - T5.5 ships at the same time.

But a standard battle cloak just seems so lame for this Iconic Battleship.

What Kind of gimmic can they add to make it kind of badass just like the movie?

Remember the Scimitar in the movie had MULTIPLE Cloaking systems. They could drop sections of the cloak with a command.

An Enhanced Romulan Battle cloak could work, but instead of torpedoes just let it fire energy weapons and keep 25% of its shields.

This. It was a cloak powered by plot. It has no business being in the game outside of the Scimitar boss NPC (which is downgraded anyways, because it can't fire while cloaked, it's just a stronger-than-normal stealth boost). Same with the Thalaron weapon. Anything a player-used Scimitar has will be considerable downgraded from what we see in the movie, because what was in the movie was ridiculous by balance standards (and by Star Trek standards, some would claim). At best, we'd get a modified Enhanced Battlecloak, able to fire energy weapons at 1/3 or 1/2 the set power.
