I give a whole hearted thank you to the Cryptic team for coming through for the KDF. We can now start at lvl 1 which was one of the main hindrances to the KDF faction and was one of the reasons for our low numbers over here. I truly appreciate all the hard work everyone at Cryptic put in to make this happen.

Or were you referring to the throwaway line on the Legacy of Romulus page that has no other mention of the KDF or indeed pictures or information of what this 1-50 KDF experience will be?

I'm hoping they'll do a good job but don't raise your hopes too high just yet - we've been here before after all - I guess we'll all know soon enough but for me at least, it's a little premature to be thanking Cryptic - encouraging them maybe...

It's been bizarro world since day 1.

I do agree we should be cautious, but I don't think they'd tell us they're gonna do it if they can't actually do it. That would create nerdrage the likes of which this galaxy has never seen.

A lot seems great.. but think about the fact rom starts out 1-50 while KDF started 20-50. Plus
is or was there enough time for good quality things? Only the future will telll..

Yep, no point being negative, although caution is certainly understandable given what they have done to the KDF since they promised a full faction back in 08 .

By the way, KDF will be able to start from level 1 to 50 as of May 21st:

"Start as any Faction

Create your first character as a member of the Federation, Klingon Empire, or Romulan Republic and level your captain from 1 to 50."

They have at least doubled staff since PWE took over, so yes more optimistic than ever before.

We just went from the red-headed stepchild to the dog tied up in the woodshed. I'm not really seeing a lot of cause for celebration unless your being optimistic in defiance of Cryptic's historic trackrecord with Klingons.

Instead of spending the time and money to bring the KDF on par with the Federations, the developed a whole faction. Now the game will be 1 full faction, and 2 half assed factions. The reasoning is obvious, it's a cash grab for players gearing up and leveling a new alt. It doesn't actually improve the state of the game, if anything it makes it worse.
