# 1 Romulan writing mistery
02-06-2013, 05:09 PM
Today I saw the new Feb 1st screen with all that writing and I took it apon myself to try and decipher it!
Having never seen Romulan writing before 10 mins ago I think I've done pretty well. Still I need your help, and I was going to share anyway
I could have gotten a lot wrong but it is a start:

I think we all know what the pic means though

BTW if you know the language well you'll be of great help here and the words apear to translate into Romulan too.

If you mouse over the letters on the teaser webpage, the writing translates into english.

Reminds me of the time I spent an afternoon listening to the Rome Total War end credit song over and over again so I could write down the lyrics. I proudly went onto the forum with the fruits of my labour, only to be told that the lyrics were freely available on the game's website! XD

This character is why I don't play my Romulan any more. Tovan Khev is NOT my BFF! Get him off my bridge!

It doesn't look like actual Romulan to me; more like a romulan-looking font. Note how no only so the letters match up but I could partially understand it as it was, especially the 'the'. It's like those puzzles where you cover up half of it and then it forms words that are otherwise hidden. If you get what I'm saying.

My favorite part about this is that after all your hard work, you had exactly 1 letter right.
