# 1 having a bad day on STF

it seems that today on Saturday STF is full of players that can't do the mission right and I can't seem to finish the mission properly and get the rewards

Could I perhaps recommend... oh... how about... not pugging? I have one word for you: PublicEliteSTF. That channel will meet most if not all of your STF needs, and usually has competent players.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.

Why is everyone always ******** about Pugs.

Although STF's are easier with experienced crew it seems those complaining have forgotten they were once given a chance to learn from experienced players as well.

Coach newer players and the group of newbies will decrease drastically. Yes, there will always be Noobs (Players who refuse to learn/listen/chat) but when we all help newer players we can achieve a high enough average level to cancel out the Noob players.

This is true. Newbs =/= Noobs

At least, though, run normal mode a few times to understand how the STF generally works. Elite will always have a few quirks that normal runs can't teach. This is where listening comes in.

I've developed this mentality about PUGs.: The optional is a nice bonus, but it's not likely we'll get it, not worth blowing a gasket over the whole deal. Even in PUGs, you'll be able to tell who's been doing their homework and who hasn't even cracked open the book.

Lagging, D/Cing, or rubberbanding? Here's some help.

The harsh truth is that most elite STF only need 2-3 decent players to complete with optional.

Last week i warped in Kithomer Elite, optional failed and only myself and one other in.

Neither of us wanted penalty for leaving so we worked together, killed nanite probes, generators + transformer. Moved to other side, put generator to 5%, popped them same time, killed transformer before nanite probes arrived. Anyway you get where this is going.

Give newer players a chance to learn. Hide away in channels with only experienced players and you slow down the learning curve of those who really want to learn.

I prefer to carry PuGs.

Just take a ship you can borderline solo the ESTF in and then you will have few to no worries. For example today I was in a bad group that blew generators early in ISE, so I flew over and started popping the spawns from the gate.

Killed all gate spawns before the team finished with the two sphere spawns. I love my shinny new Fleet Defiant.

I pulled out my old toon yesterday and my fleet helped me get all the STF optionals in a row.
It was amazing we did all the space and ground normals then we did all the Elites.
My Fleet leaders always say use Teamspeak for coordination and only team with fleets members.
Our Fleet is Tier 4 working on tier 5, we have 490 members people that are on around the clock. I just don't get why some people are against Fleets and Teamspeak.
I will never play another way because I don't want to less than the best.
If your having issues and tired of random groups, let me know my fleet still as room..

They could get on this forum and read the STF n00b guide instead of hearing about the 960Dil ESTF's offer.

Of all the STF missions where n00bs ruin Elite runs , Cure has got to be the worst.
"Protect the Kang" sounds so very easy...
It's so bad I play Cure on Normal now just so I can make 480Dil than a chance at making 960Dil.
NO to ARC...Make It VOLUNTARY

In elites, I hate seeing people with a ton of injuries. You chose to play on elite, you should have brought your gear.

Or even worse, when you're two minutes in, and one of the team members says "I have to go eat."

Once again, you chose to run an elite STF. Wait to eat.

PublicEliteSTF kept me from quitting STF's entirely.

Well some of us have this thing called real life and we can't put everything on hold to play a video game.

That said, it would be polite not to start a multi-player mission if you know you have leave soon.
