I know the federation signed a treaty with the romulans to not make cloaks but with the rommies falling apart shouldn't the feds be developing new cloaking technology to rival the klingons? I'm pretty sure D'Tan doesn't care if the federation starts developing some.

Both the Galaxy X and Defiant come with standard cloaks.

We can't have Battle Cloaks because it would "dillute the uniqueness of the Klingon Faction."

Because of the bloody Klingons.

We actually do get a cloack... From the Romulans, for doing the Reputation stuff. It works for 10 seconds and you can even fire weapons when cloaked.

Yay...and if the Romulans are playable in May than we can have Cloak Trek! I can imagine it pvp maps empty looking till someone de-cloaks someone else!

Feds don't need cloak and what makes you think D'Tan wouldn't care about the Federation breaking a almost Century old treaty that was held with his people?

If I has a treaty with someone and I was later allied with them I would be upset if they decided they want to break the treaty even if we were allied now.

That treaty is over. Like I said, we do get 10 second cloaks. Really though, if you want a ship that can cloak, get a Defiant or a Dread naught. So really.. The Feds have two types of cloaks.
