I ultimately went with spread as my default set up due to the volume of enemy pack engagements in PVE. However, I do have my spare tactical officer outfitted with CRF3 and TRV3 so I can swap my Commander Stations about when I know I'm going in for a big solo fight.

So far I've done two of the 2800 episodes and the loadout has served me well.
Only changes I would propose:
Take out the cloaking device and put on another armor console (monotanium), since tbh, in many PvE cases, once you're engaged, you stay engaged for the majority of the fight, so your cloaking console is more of a waste of space... no offense. And for crying out loud, PLEASE take out that zero point and replace it with another phaser relay. You are losing out on a huge amount of DPS. And as for that field generator... I think you'd be better off with a inertial dampener/power insulator, but hey, if it works for you, kudos.

Revamp your Tac Boffs. You really don't need a higher level than 1 on your CRF or CSV. I have found that higher level attack patterns work much better. I can give you an altered loadout for BOffs if you want.

Also not gonna lie, very jealous of your mk XII quantum, can't seem to find a good one.

Not a raving madman, just being sub-optimal. However if you're going to put a tac in a cruiser, I would actually recommend the Tac Odyssey or Regent. But I would still stand by the Chel'gret as a viable alternative.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.

I recommend a Regnerative shield array as Resilant is for Engineer and Regen is for Tacs.I would suggest letting him work this out slowly No assimulated stuff of Omega Torps.

To the OP just do what was said to you on the first page and forget the rest of this.

*nods* thanks for the clarification. I'm going to be buying the Odyssey pack one day. I just like the ship.

Honestly, I wish I could make the Galaxy-X viable. I love the way it looks with the Venture reskin.

The Cloak is there because I like having it on my Defiant variant. I'll remove it when I go to STFs. The Quantum I have... Well, mainly I blew through my entire 2 million energy credit bank to upgrade my ground gear and other consoles. I'm stuck with them for the time being. But duly noted.

As for my Mark XII Quantum... I have NO idea where I got it. I'm thinking a Fleetmate hooked me up with it.

There are so many things wrong with this statement... I don't have the time or patience to explain them to you slowly like I would need to for you to understand.

Well a quick suggestion then involving your current ECs (or lack thereof): look up the foundry missions EC farming and Energy Credits. Put your difficulty on elite, and then do those two missions. You will probably come out with at least 350-400k in ECs per day just from that. You should be able to pick up another phaser relay in two days (or less, I haven't checked recent exchange prices), provided one just doesn't drop outright (had that happen a few times, was quite pleased).

And a plague on you and your fleet... me want quantum... XD. Jk jk.

I do find your choice of the Aegis set to be interesting. But it's a good stop-gap until you can get the Borg set or the like. Something else you can try is the Jem'hadar set. It's one of the best escort freebie sets I have found. But if you like your Aegis, stick with it.

I'm going with the Aegis, because it's got the best numbers out of any of the gear I currently own, except POSSIBLY the Breen Set. And that looks a bit more Science-y. The Aegis helps my endurance, and that's what matters, at the moment. I'll happily go Assimilated/MACO once I figure out how this whole Daily/Rep Grind thing works.

Next up, I should probably figure out what to do with my Excelsior-refit. Some days, I just need a good cruiser to tool around in.

I've got a HORDE of Phased Polaron Dual Beams and Beam Arrays, as well as some Mark XI Quantums to go with it. Just no idea what to build on.

DBBs are usually found on science ships. And as long as they aren't bound, you can just sell them on the exchange. It also depends on the modifiers on your weapons. Because some of them are VERY useful, others not so much. As for your excel, I won't lie, I hate that ship. But it has it's uses. And it is quite tanky. So if you MUST fly it, you can probably use it quite well as a tank/dps ship. Also good for healing team-mates.

*nods* Personally, I prefer the Venture-X Dreadnaught for sheer looks. Wish the Phaser Lance scaled the way my Quad Phaser Cannons do. Or maybe give it the BoP Combat Cloak, at lest. Though that would go better on the Defiant Refit.

I hear there's a Nemesis style "Fire-while-Cloaked" console buried somewhere in the New Romulus Rep Grind. That... *that* I must have.
