I think it will be a sub faction also, but with some FEs and the completion of some of the systems in Tau Dewa( Nimbus and such)

I think they should fix the multitude of bug fixes from Season 7 before adding more content that you know is going to add even more broken things. Cryptic has not had a release yet that did not break something in the game.

The problem is, if it to Cryptics benefit (IE:Broken Red Alert in Tau Dewa. Making the grind for Romulan Marks longer.) they don't fix it. But if its to the players benefit, they hotfix the next day.

They should end the war, and team the KDF and Starfleet against The Borg, Undine and Iconians and drop the premise that Starfleet are the 'Good Guys' and the KDF are the 'Bad Guys'. Federation players have all the toys that made the KDF faction unique, which they use just as much as the KDF players once did. ((As an example see Bio-Neural Warheads. The Federation should never have had them, and should not have them now, but enough players whined while they ate their cheese that Craptic caved and made them available to all.))

Sure they've added alot of content, to increase your grind so it takes you longer to get where you want to be. Try getting your MACO and Honor Guard sets now. Takes you the better part of a month just to get through the rep system. Then you have to grind out Romulan Marks from a system that's broken and pays a pittance per mission.

If they do add a Romulan faction, don't be surprised if they start out even worse than the KDF did. That's Cryptics track record.

thebumble is right about the bio-neural weapons. The bio-neural warhead is a sentient AI and by all laws of the UFP is due all the rights of any of its citizens they would not be forcing them to kill themselves. The would be the equivalent of strapping their crewmen to torpedoes and launching them at the enemy. Cryptic really dropped the ball there.

We might be getting the Roms in may, its optimistic (possibly overly so), but what if they have been working on them as a clump, producing enought content for both KDF ans RSE so they have similar ammounts of content to what the Feds already have.

it could simply be they have Bio-neural cuircitry (like the gel packs on voyager) controling them, is it ever said that these ones have AI like the ones from the Delta-Quadrant?

There's a massive difference between an intelligence programmed for combat, and a fully self-aware AI.

According to Dan Stahl's latest interviews there will several more factions coming along to STO. He said "several" in the coming future...this is just a start and finally it will be STO as originally intended...how exciting...

Also, remember the Trill episode of TNG.

If the missile wants to die in combat, the Federation will accommodate its belief system.
