I agree wholeheartedly. The look, the performance and the reliability of this ship is astounding.

My Armitage Heavy Escort Carrier.

I have 4 fed toons and the Armitage is on 3 of them. 1 tac, 2 Engi. Its excellent on either tac or engineer.

They are:
USS Paradise. Tetryon weapons, MACO XII build.
USS Divine. Jem XI set, Phased Polaron weapons XII
USS Hathor XI Borg Set, XII Anti Proton weapons.

All have wide-angle quantums, both point defence systems (cannon and torp)

Delta Flyers Rare on all 3.

Love the ship.

I've tried just about every ship, but no matter what I use, or how I set it up, nothing seems to fit as well as my sovereign class. The assault cruiser refit has been great for me, and even though I'm a tac officer, I can't bring myself to part with it for anything else. Can't wait to get the fleet version though.

I do tend to flip alot, but there's one toon who keeps going back to one ship; my tac in her freebie Patrol Escort. She's been in that thing forever and I just can't get comfortable in anything else. Set up 4 seperate costumes for it so I can satiate my desire to hop into different ships every other day.

Just remember that the Fleet (and refit) Assault Cruisers are not straight-up improvements on the standard Assault Cruiser. They trade a little bit of engineering focus for a more tactical focus. Fleet Assault is much more like an Excelsior than the standard Assault.

My freebie Qin raptor. The mirror Qin and the Chel Grett are fine ships but they don't seem to hit as hard as the freebie Qin.

...Still thinking about the Fl. Somraw tho (how many months have I been thinking about that overpriced dinosaur??) the same BOFF layout as the M.Qin it may give me that same feeling of underperformance.

At VA:

Patrol escorts because they have a nice compact brutishness to them that I feel is more fitting than the quad nacelles of the Advanced. I also kitbash it. However, I do prefer the Advanced's boff layout so I usually go for the mirror version.

DSSV because it continues the tradition of weird looking Starfleet science ships. Usually kitbashed as well for maximum weird.

Assault Cruiser with Noble skin. Because it's the most classic Trek-looking of them and the Noble looks like it's made for engineers. But the same Boff preference applies as the escorts and tend towards the Mirror version. I sometimes dust off the C and use it for Foundry missions, but overall I go back to the tanky looking tank.

As I level all of my toons do Hope class at commander just cuz no one else is.
