The point Age is making is that the BOFF AI is too stupid to use the skill properly, which to be fair it is, we all know the ability has its uses albeit occasional.

Which is why you save it for yourself and replace it with a weapons malfunction or chroniton mine barrier. It's his fault for not re-training his BOffs. No fault lies with that very solid ability.

I had the same prob and i just turned that ability of for the duration of my mission . or in your case , untill u can retrain.

This. Right click it and it goes red. No more issues until you can retrain the Boff

I am amazed what sort of problems some people have. Just train them with something else.

I think it's the tone of the post. I mean, if it had been phrased "My Eng BO keeps using covershield at terrible times in missions. Is there a way to get rid of it or have him not use it?" it would have been a two, three response thread with helpful answers.

While these MMO forums are WAY WAY better than most, we do still get a few petulant, demanding, nerd rage threads about very simple issues that could just be asked as a simple question.

It's hard to tell with the Klingon UI but if you right click on a boffs skill on the boff ui you should be able to switch it's mode to disable(it turns red on the fed ui) that should hold you until you can get rid of it. But asking for the skill to be removed from the game just because you find it inconvenient is a bit much.
