Did you learn anything new? Did Mimey live up to his promise not to take advantage of any students within 10 feet? Is there a skill or ability you always wondered about and now know how to use? Did you not even make it, went out on a bender last night and woke up this morning in a fountain in the park with one eyebrow, a poncho and a rash you didn't have before?

How did it go?

I really enjoyed having the chance to work with all of the "students" I had today and I had a lot of fun doing it.

Many of them have lots of potential =)

Thanks Sargon and Cryptic for hosting this!

I learned quite a bit today. It was my first boot camp session. The healing exercise was great. We were able to keep players alive under sustained fire with minimal healing builds. I think we had 3 escorts, one with a single heal and I think we had one real healer and that was Yoda, our coach. What I find happens in PUGs and also in my own fleet is that we will over heal and stack multiple tac teams, TSS and HE on someone. Then they get nuked or the opposing team switches targets leaving all of us defenseless. Afterwards, Yoda helped me with build specifics, min maxing.

Excuse me! We don't use that, Americanized 'feet' in THIS game, Regulus! THIS game uses meters and kilometers, thank you very much!

Besides, how could I get within 10 feet (to use your barbaric term) of a student if we were in space? Clearly I am saving that for next week during the ground Boot Camp, obviously.

I did learn one thing though. Before the 2nd session earlier, apparently Sargon did not feel the need to grace us with his august presence.

As I tried to participate in first session yesterday (8 pm CET) I had problems with my micro and could not start, I just stayed in the "waiting room" and nothing happened, grrrr.

Someone of the mentors told me that I might be back for another "in-between" session 1 hour later.

Unfortunately, 1 hour later something went wrong and nothing happened again

But I was told I might participate in the next session (2 am for me) and I thought: nope, thats too late. As I just wanted to leave TS the coaches suggested we could play some pvp for fun - we played several matches (first time for me to use TS in a match) and they taught dozens of tricks, showed a great escort build, explained why and when to use any buff/debuff. All before next official session started, they did it just for fun and to help us.

That was one of the most informative lessons I ever had! And what a fun! You made my day! Thank you very much!!!

Yeah i enjoyed it.I took part in one of the cet sessions,my coach was shift from nova core, and i think there was another coach called Kollen but i missed the very beginning where they may have introduced themselves. The lesson went on for a fairly long time,we hit about 4 hours roughly by the end, due to him giving a lot of suggestions to the various captain/ship combination's. The first 30 minutes/1 hour was brushing up on the stuff covered by the past 2 lessons and then the next 2-3 hours was pvp match's with him changing the team slightly to show the difference between the various team load outs,ie 2 dps/2 sci.

By the end of it we had covered quite a bit of stuff. The various class's had they're role in a team match explained to them. Healers/cruiser captains had been given tips on how to get more out of they're builds, for the most part it seemed us tac/escort captains had the good builds. We had been shown what to say on comm's,ie calling targets/healing others and self heals, target priority's and how to split fire to try beat a team that cross heals really well.

There was a few minor problems,i turned up 15 minutes before it was meant to start and still managed to miss the very beginning (or at least he was taking questions from the other players so i have no idea if i missed anything important)/teamspeak would occasionally break up and the ingame challenge system seemed to be playing up (took about 3 attempts to get the first match started).

But overall it was fun and informative.I have enjoyed all three lessons so far, unfortunately my two fleet mates who signed up with me have both missed a session now. All of my coach's have done a great job, think my first on was with Kedric and phaoe then @chaplin charlie2011 for the second and now shift for the third, so im hoping that the next time i can convince more of my fleet to sign up,quite a few of them could do with some guidance

Slightly off topic, but there didn't seem to be anything for those who missed the second session (like myself). Wasn't there supposed to be a make-up session of some sort?

As for what I learned? Chained sub-nukes hurt. Even for an engi cruiser. And a few other things I'd rather not go into to maintain my dignity.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
Tired of Wasting EC and Time trying to get Superior Romulan Operative BOffs? Here's a cheap and easy way to get them, with an almost 100% chance of success.

I thought it was informative and fun. It was nice to be taught how to fight as a cohesive group, what to do, expect and how to prep for each attack. I can see without a doubt now that players, particular from the klink side, are just well practiced teams now that have and always will have my respect.

If pugging PVP I suppose it will only improve if others either take direction from a PVP graduate or already know themselves how to effectively lead a group into a PVP match. Because so far it just feels like everybody is out for themselves which is unfortunate.

Nota Bene: BTW, if using the subspace jumper I noticed last night that when you reappear your target will have changed! So just be weary of that, you will have to find the appropriate target again.
