Science ships have too much turn-rate, they are not escorts, nor are they cruisers and should be the slowest ships, as they are weighed down by science equipment... Like positron scanners, gas emitters, and dual chroniton infused plasma relays.

So the only option is to reduce the turnrate of science vessels to around 0.5 to 1.5.

They also have far too much hull, they should have a maxium of 10k hull.

Just like cruisers, they have too much turn rate too.

While we're at it, their weapon and shield power should be lowered, by like... -20. All that science equipment draws power, and they are meant to be shooting science, not tanking or dealing damage.

Let me guess, your escort was hit with subnuke beam,viral matrix, or gravity well during your alpha strike on a science vessel. The science vessel lived and you died. Now you have come to the forums looking to make the class unusable and easily killed with any weapon. Learn to counter the playstyle before requesting an unwarranted nerf.

Yes, because science captains are dealing so much damage without dual heavy cannons or a seventh weapon slot. They are also able to do huge amounts of hull tanking with that tiny 29k hull, despite the fact that Beam Overload III can critically hit for 40k damage with the new critical severity buffs from the fleet/reputation stores. And those shield and power drain abilities drain huge amounts of shields and power from their target, despite the fact that most PvPers have skill points in power insulators or they carry science team. Cryptic really should make these changes ASAP. After all, science ships are already insanely overpowered.

Someone started a clearly sarcastic thread at http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/sh...d.php?t=548001 about cruisers, so you decided it would be funny to create your own sarcastic thread about science vessels. "General Community Feedback" is for actual feedback. If you want to pull something like this for the fun of it, do it in Ten Forward.

Is there any connection between this poster and the thread regarding Cruisers as severely overpowered (both in DPS and turn) ?? It seems EERILY similar....Same individual different account?

Why do you make fun of the poor whale like cruisers they really are UP, when you obviously have the high turn wells sci ship judging from your picture T !
