"Login failed for unknown reason" error

Slow patching in the launcher
A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
I activated my Beta Key and received an email as a response.
I then downloaded the game client software.
I then input my user name and password and received the message at the bottom saying "Account error, please contact billing supports.
I know that open beta starts tomorrow but I have read somewhere else that I should be able to do the patch and log into the game but not be allowed access at that point. I am concerned now that the message I received means there is an issue with my account. Is the error message I am receiving something I need to look into or are other people getting the same thing?
