Well do you think it was effective against us? You used it in the last (or second last) match we had at least on me.

It was too easily cleared with Tacteams once I noticed it. Honest answer.

when boarding party hits you with debuffs, like offline subsystems and cooldowns added to everything, it can be worse then a subnuke. but its insta clear counter from TT has like a 66% up time.

and the shuttles have to actually make it to your enemy, you crazy if you dont launch them point blank

It's not recommended in any other than advanced uses, Boarding Party is broken in few ways atm, how Boarding Party works, is that the shutles board the ship, (you can remove them with a Tactical Team and every ship should carry one) then they will start draining your crew, after few seconds one or two or three boarding parties will "proc" and they will start disabling subsystems and skill timers, they can be only removed with a Engineering Team, that's how they basically work. I think they could be effective if you get somebody to start a Subnuke cycle on target to get rid of the Tactical Team so your boarding parties have time to "proc", after that, hopefully your boarding parties will keep the tactical team on cooldown.

There are 3 different Doffs that boost boarding parties, One that gives chance to give a point defence system to your boarding parties, I think they are nice, but they draw aggro in pve which is not too good since they still have 1 health... Second doff is the one that reduces cooldown of your boarding parties and hangar, on use of any of those. Third doff gives chance to launch 3 extra shutles.

About the bugs, which ones highly disturb and sadden me..

Bug number one. Example: your ship has 300/2000 crew. When you use boarding party, it will not launch any shutles even tho your boarding party has enough crew to launch, this means that when your crew is percentually low, your boarding party will not work. It will use casting animation and it will also put the skill to cooldown. I haven't tested if it actually consumes your crew too.

Bug number two. This bug is with the Boarding Party Duty officers, which launch extra boarding party shuttles, 3 per doff, with a 33% chance to do so. You can have max 3 of these which I do have in my Boarding Party ship(I want my money back). How these Doffs are broken, is that they simply launch a random amount of shuttles(4, 5, 6, 7) instead of a fixed amount, they won't allow me to launch 12 boarding party shuttles just because it should be so, 3 or 6 or 9 or 12 is what it should be.

Sometimes skills are nice not just because of what they do, but because of thier counters. It is true that TT is widely available. That isn't the same thing as "always" available though.

Boarding Party won't be destroying ships any time soon. But it will be doing is forcing a TT, unless of course they choose to sit it out. So it's a viable way to gain control of another players team cycle.

Even IF they have the minium CD between TT, you can decide when that gaps going to occur OR they can choose to have multiple CD's extended or systems disabled.

Like using a scramble to draw out the Sci Teams before a Sub Nuc.

But yah like DDIS said you really want to dump them close. Rather have an ability to drop the corvus and walk over than take those flimsy shuttles.

You are the pvp elite. You have some of the best players in the game in S.O.B. . And you are one of them. If you used bp against pandas. Maybe it worked. Maybe it didn't. But the fact that you are asking what the community thinks about the skill tells me you see some potential in it. I myself question how effective it can be.

What do I think of boarding party? I think when you figure out how it CAN work then they will be cursing S.O.B..... once again.

Personally, Im a huge fan of reinforced marauding force. It does damage before the team enters the ship, it kills crew, it disables subsystems. The kill/disable sequence works the same as boarding party.
I am currently using it with my klink engineer in the corsair. With that ship, you can also use VM1. So, you can use first VM to force a ET, or marauding force to force TT. Your enemy cannot deploy both teams at the same time. Spend some points in decompiler, throw in a few tractor beams, use polarized disruptor beams with subsystem target and get a friend in an escort to make the finish......

Thx for the feedback all. Yes MT we had 1 person with bp in that match before we had it perfected. Now im sure that means that we wont see you guys use such a useless skill. Ive noticed that timed properly with the help of a certain doff and a certain ability you can put someones cooldowns on all boff powers and weapons on like an 11 minute cooldown. Wow not being able to shoot for 11 minutes useless i guess. With the tt only stopping the cooldown from going higher and eng team only clearing the disable god forbid someone would time something around a tac team nothing will bring back your cooldowns. So with that being said this combo is not easy to get off i know no one wants to work at anything they just want to have there macro work for them. If you can get the combo off and it hits you once i can maintain the extended cooldowns forever.In a premade 5v5 this is harder to do but in 1v1 it is very nasty and easy since once i get the cooldowns extended you have no ability to shootdown shockwave etc so my next boarding party hits freely and the next if your still alive. I wont say the exact combo because i dont want to get hit with this in pvp by the premades that will most likely abuse it im sure you guys can figure it out with a little testing. So i think a skill that extends cooldowns has a 10 second disable for all subsystems shields included and requires alot of teams to counter could be useful lol.Oh and by the way this works awesome on the hive queen.If this post is hard to read im sorry im just a computer noob who doesnt type much my editor thissler might clean it up for me lol. And the only cooldowns this doesnt affect are captain abilities and teams.Good luck all i hope cryptic can look into this before it becomes a problem.I think hank has a screenshot of being at earth space dock and still haveing 3 minute cooldowns on everything. S.O.B. will not be useing this and i hope the rest of the fleets will also do the same but my goal is to get some of you guys that know more then i do to test this and report to cryptic your findings so that maybe we can use it without it being broken because i think the skill could still be useful.
