I was confused about the issue with the consoles after hearing players saying that they were supposed to be 2 seperate systems.

Has they stand right now I'd say that the Consoles are not worth using.

Agreed. Bought the buggy pack yesterday, thankfully they fixed the shields and healing on it but they left the consoles the way they were... useless.

The tachyon relay thing seems to be the the best of the 3 consoles since it dont take 10 seconds to fire the damn thing, unlike the the phaser overload BS.

Bad move on my part buying the pack i guess, good job i paid for it all in dil. Id be p!ssed if i had of shelled out 60 bucks for it

Agreed. The wing plateform are nice, but not that great, and need the 3 consoles to really be worth it. The cannon overload is BS, it takes ages to shoot, while you can't do any DPS, for a 20k~ damage (which is what ? A crit with a torp ?), and drain all your weapon power. Which mean, you do no damage after the shot, and you have to use a battery and EPtW to keep up shooting.
They simply took one of the worst beam ability, and added it to cannon, and added another penalty.
The tachyon thing, I don't use it a lot, and shield is not really a concern in STF, where borgs have far more hull than shield. When they have one. Maybe in pvp.

Also, they use phaser damage, which is the most expensive space weapon damage on the exchange. I switched back to my romulan set, and removed the whole console+wing cannon stuff.

Can't say I'm disappointed, its supposed to be a *glass cannon* and really isn't. But its not like this hurts the power of the ship much, what I'm sure a fair bit of people bought it for and definitely not the consoles.

The only console I found worth while was phaser dispersal relay for Cannon Overload Attacks. Despite the 4 sec. charge time and 3 minutes cooldown, being able to destroy a fully buffed cruiser solo in seconds was very gratifying.

As sad as it is I am finding this ship is better if you throw out all the andorian consoles and wing cannons and just do a normal escort setup. Getting a bit more dps than my bug does using the engineer version. The tac version would be great if we could get the boff issue addressed........

You mean the layout? You really only need the one copy of EPtS; slotting tactical doffs doesn't really work well anyway since you're still bound by the tactical boff rotations. RSP is nice, but hardly necessary with 100% uptime on EPtS.

If I bought one, I'd consider replacing the last turret (assuming you also run KCB), either going with DPB3+lawlcobalt, or the more likely beam array so I can actually make use of that lieutenant tactical slot.

I run 3xTT1 on my FTER because there's literally nothing worthwhile to do with that ensign, so I went ahead and standardized four tac boffs, differentiating them only by commander ability; the other advantage of this is that I have a lone TT1 to use either defensively or in a support capacity, leaving my other two copies alongside the rest of their rotation (APB1 and CRF2).
