I run the Eng version and have stripped out the consoles as well as the wing cannons. I'm running 5 DHCs and 2 turrets on it now. With two copies of CSV and a CRF this thing just melts whatever is in front of it. I added a EPtW just to keep everything at peak performance.

The DHCs reload faster than the wing cannons do, so overall a standard DHC will out perform the wing cannons purely because of cool down times.

I'm liking my Khyzon, its quick and dirty so far, due to having bought all the phasers for the build out of pocket with limited funds, but works well.

Up front I'm running 2x Phaser DHC Mk XII (2xAcc) (Dmg), Phaser Quad Cannons, Quantum Torpedoes Mk XII (Acc) (Crit) (Borg), and the Kumari Wing Cannons. In the back I have an Andorian Phaser turret Mk. XI, and the Kinetic Cutting Beam.

For consoles I've got the Assimilated Module, Zero Point, Tachyokinetic Converter, three Mk XII shield boost consoles, and four Mk XII Phaser consoles (obviously).

I keep the console set in my inventory along with a couple other consoles I swap in from time to time, its really not worth running them instead of the shield consoles, but it can be fun to slot them all, pop platforms and run CRF/CSV. Sometimes I throw the point defense console on there, or Isometric charge, or Resonance Cascade module.

there are a few things holding me back from buying


#1 they did decide to not include the actual CANON ship skin from ENT, i don't get it, with 3 skins at least one could have been the original. (maybe they will sell a canon skin separately at a later date?)
I'm a sucker for CANON ships, if that skin was included, i would already have bought it, no matter the other issues it might have, but these 3 made up variants... *shrug* not that hot for it.


#2 I'm waiting if anything is done with that cannon cooldown situation and what people will have to say to the solution they may come up with.


#3 i heard that Beam Banks are shooting through the ships geometry (badly placed Weapon Hardpoints?), so at least for me beams are not an option for this ship. I have plenty of Beam Escorts, that DHC/Beam boat mix would not be a problem for me, did that before already.


also personally i'm not a fan of pure glass cannon builds... i like the ones that can tank and pew, like the Armitage (Akira!!! mmmh perfect balance between pew and tanking.).

If you buy the bundle, is it account-wide or only for one character? I know the Vesta Pack and Odyssey Pack are available account-wide. I'm just double-checking.

I concur and am doing the same thing. The Dev REALLY need to rethink the CD and chain linking.

It makes sense to me that they'd pair weak consoles with an otherwise awesome line of ships.

For the same reason, the Galaxy will always be subpar....because it still generates sales.

on the Andorian post about the Cannon abilities a Dev came on and posted this:


Just a quick update:

We are currently internally testing a change to take the Console powers off of the shared cooldown with Cannon: Rapid Fire and Cannon: Spread Volley. Instead, the consoles will have a longer (most likely 30 seconds) shared cooldown with each other.

In addition, I am cutting down the charge up time on the Overload to 2 seconds and slightly increasing the damage. It will still deal less than the Guramba's Javelin.

Finally, the Tachyon Burst is getting a bit of love as well. It will now also debuff the target's shields, causing them to suffer more damage to shields for a short time. This should make the Tachyon Burst provide a lot more utility in STFs and other endgame content.

These changes are still being tested and subject to possible change.
