Someone at Utpoia Planitia easily could have found the recordings from Voyager and decided to use the Dauntless specifications as a basis for a Starfleet ship.

Let's be honest Cryptics has presented us more ludicrous ships than the Dauntless would be. Think about the galor or the Ferengi Marauder on Federation side and let's not forget the Moebius which is a totally made up ship and has no basis in Trek canon at all.


Anyway, i would see the Dauntless as a extreme Science ship, having a unique BOFF setup of maybe 2 CMDR Science and very few other Stations, maybe just one other Lieutenant and one or two Ensign Universal Stations.

Its console Layout could be similar, being heavy focussed on Science it could have some additional special consoles like the Vesta and some universal Console slots. Giving it's captain a high grade of flexibility to balance the ship between attack power and defense.

CRYPTIC, please give us Cruisers that do not feel like a punishment, starting with the Galaxy Class:
enhanced exploration cruiser retrofit 3 pack
very little work for you + 50$ from me = a huge leap in our friendship!

No. The Steamrunner it's self, not the Half Saucer ship.
Two are in the Earth Fleet in Stormfront part 2, yes along with the Intrepid Type, and the NC , Emmette, and Warp Delta ships.

Setting aside for a moment the excuse of how an alien ship would get into regular Starfleet service, how do you see the ship represented in the game?

The thing is small, only 7 decks (6 full ones) so it's only a little bit larger than the Defiant. Unlike the Defiant, it lacks any significant firepower. From what we see in Voyager, it's one specialized skill is to go really fast. It also gives up a lot of what Starfleet typically puts in their ships in order to do so.

Canon is what's in the prime timeline, this is an alternate timeline.
To be precise it's an alernate timeline where the expanse was not destroyed.
Meaning it diverges from the Prime timeline 80 years earlier than the JJ verse.

extreme long range science vessel. +10 to engines +10 to Aux -5 to weapons. Universal console gives +40 to partical generators +10 to starship stealth. Small Crew size of 230, turn of 17. Can only equip beam array's and torpedo's no dual beam banks. 5 Science Consoles, 4 Engineering, 1 Tactical. Boff layout 1CMDR Science, 1LTCMDR Sci, LT Tactical, LT Engineering, Engsign Science. Hull 32000

incorrect it was because of this battle that they sphere builders went back to change the timeline. In Truth Enterprise itself is an alternate timeline not accurate to the real timeline.

Just gonna point this out: Deep Space Science Vessel, Trident-class. If you look at it, it is strikingly similar to the U.S.S. Dauntless. Just saying.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.

The Battle of Procyon V is part of the changes that happened to Daniels' timeline because of the Xindi arc. So it probably did happen.

I like this idea. And yeah it was an alien ship. But it was set up to look exactly like a federation ship. And as seen in the episode, the modifications Voyager made to it allowed Seven and Janeway to escape the brig.

This could definitely be made into an in-game ship. Just use the ole "Inspired by" ex machina.
