On the topic of why the BortasQ 3pack did not sell well was that ot was ill designed for the KDF at the time.....

Oddly KDF fleet ships sell very well (as I understand it) because they do suit the KDF well amd they cost money per se.....

and at the time of the BortasQ 3pack sold poorly because few where playong the KDF at a time when its population was at its lowest.

I feel a BoP 3pack wpuld do much better innthe current climate.

At the very least a Negvar 3 pack.
They have been building a C-Store Negvar for 3 years now. By the time it comes out it is going to have 3 full years of effort put into it and be sweeeet.

But I still love the look of the Bortasq. I would have changed the way it functions though.

Integrity do make money but it's a long term investment in how people talk about your game on the internet.

If all you can do is not developping equal content for your two factions then people who played the neglected factions will make very negative posts on your game. They won't invite friends to join them (and such advertisement matters a lot). I have myself refrained to do so because I don't think my friends will enjoy joining me as KDFs. When a lone wolf joins the game he'll be on his own, without any kind of support, he might join a fleet but that's it. But when you have real life friends you know, when you can play with them during the weekend then you're going to stay for some time.

STO only relies on lone wolves not reading negative comments from the KDF guys, and from the FED guys who are upset by bugs.

Having a fair, not pay to win, without power creep issues, game, is very important if you want your game to last for years. Of course if you have critical cash needs after hiring 20 new guys to code the game then you'll likely run into these problems, develop what's profitable without any ethical thought. But on the long run less people will join. And you'll need time to clean the mess your "critical" needs brought.

I feel bad for the Bortas as a whole .
Cryptic didn't really want to make it , some Dev's like Cpt.Logan championed it's creation and then the Stat's Team you all know and love gave it some ... stats .

Not to be a downer , but what do you think changed in regards to the "current climate" ?
I'm asking because I for one think a Bop 3 pack would sell (not too badly) regardless of the climate ... -- with the understanding that ppl don't want the Norgh , nor the Heg'ta , but the option for the B'rel like classic look , along side a more modern skin as optional skins .

Or 1500zen for the low level version is a wash but you get the low-level one for any alts so slightly better than buying only the fleet version for one character and since I have three KDFs and might make more I might end up saving a ton of money if more than one wants the same fleet ship.
Beware, you're making a common mistake. ONLY Tier 5 C-Store ship purchases allow for a discount on their relative (if existing) Fleet version.

That specifically means that only 2 ships on the KDF side grant that discount of Fleet ship modules. Those ships are the B'Rel retrofit and the Varanus.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix: Bring in the Allegiance class
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia: Add Tier 6 staple KDF ship types: Carrier and Bird of prey.
Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var: Give us Asylums for Romulans

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

Here's an idea that I've gleaned from reading these forums over the years - the reason that the C-Store KDF ships haven't sold well is because a significant portion of the KDF players ONLY want ships that are useful and viable in competitive PvP and eSTFs.

They don't care about, nor do they want to bother with, any other ships that are perfectly acceptable and viable for use in regular, normal PvE content.

So in other words, according to the mindset of a current majority of posting KDF players, if Cryptic wants to sell ships to the KDF players then every ship that they offer has to be designed and intended for use in competitive PvP and Elite STFs. Otherwise they just won't buy it.

And that there provides the answer to the question - "No KDF Ship Pack?".

Why would the KDF players buy a ship for PVE when they have like 2 episodes and 4 repeatable missions? Especially in the earlier days when said episodes and missions did not even exist?
Is the awareness of how little there actually is to do on the red side that bad that people don't even realize there basically is no PVE. There is so little in fact that they removed the first 25 levels from the faction totally.

I still fly my Bortie and am doing so now.

As to climate, I mean the current resurgence of KDF I have seen may give better sales figures than when we where barely hanging on at the time the Bortie was released.

Even though I have been playing fed about 50% of the time and have enough dil saved to get the Kumari 3 pack I won't be getting it until KDF gets some kind of similar 3 pack to either the Vesta or Kumari.

I think that not only should we boycott the Kumari since most of us probably have Fed alts, but also specifically hunt down this ship as much as possible whenever its seen. I am only looking for this ship in kerrat now, and hitting it with the cheesiest builds possible, like my full drain build Karfi, and fire with no reveal subterfuge B'rel.
