Looks like a 64bit OS issue to me I have xp pro 32bit and a geforce 9800gtx and running fine. IMO 64bit OS is over rated.

The next version of Windows is going to be x64 only and possibly x128, so if you're still using x32 I would recommend you look into upgrading. x64 allows you to have a lot more memory than you're using now and greatly improve the efficiency of today's high performance chip sets, memory and processors. I've been using x64 OS's for about 4 years now, both Windows and Linux and I very rarely come across a program that I have issues with, and never in Linux.

Don't comment on it if you don't have all the facts and especially if you've never used, that goes for anything just like people saying the game sucks who've never even played it.

Running 2 GX2 9800ís Win 7/64, Intel quad q9650, 8g ram. I had the same issues. I rolled back to 190.62, Antialyising=None, Shadows=Low. Letís just say itís playable now. Still needs to be addressed CrypticÖ

why x128?
x32 allows you to adress theoretical 2^32 Byte = 4096 MB = 4 GB RAM (effective ca. 3000 MB, because graphic card and other things also require something)
x64 allows to adress theoretical 2^64 Byte = 17179869184 GB = 16777216 TB RAM, thats more than we will need in the next decades (for personal computer)

Why x128
Because that's what Microsoft is working on 64x2=128, architecture always doubles.
Of course 16777216 TB may be more than we'll need but I can assure you that we are fast approaching the 4GB limitation, meaning that soon that will not be enough and definitely within the decade IMO. My first computer which I bought in 1993 had 4 megabytes of RAM, that's right 4 MEGABYTES and a 486MHz Processor, do the math to see how far we've come in 16 years. Thinking that 4GB is going to be sufficient for the next 10 years is a mistake. Right now the limitation is in MOBO's, x58 MOBOs currently support a max of 24 GB's while Win7 x64 supports 192 GB's. These numbers are worth noting.

Windows 7 64 bit just seems not to be compatible with the game. Running a 32bit game in 64bit environment is not good and Cryptic should now that. Had same issue with Champions. I went to my XP partition and just reduced shadows and the amount of light effects and have only stuttered 3 times in ground combat. I blame that on the beta server and believe the live servers should run smoothly like Champions. FYI on champions never had a video issue once I learned how to get sli activated. And I only have 2 9800gt in sli. I also would like to know what type of PC's did Cryptic use to run the game during there internal Beta testing. That information could be used to compare our hardware specs to theirs.

I have no issues running the game with no stutters. 1650X1080, 4x AA 16AF all settings on high. FPS stays in the 50-60 range.

I do get lag spikes when on the station, but only on a full instance, the lag spikes are network related not video as my fps does not drop.

Core 2 quad q9550
Evga 260 (216)
8Gb Ram
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

If they could keep the servers running all would be well.

Got everything to run smoothly now, ran driver sweeper and installed 190.62 cleanly.

I run with shadows on high and AntiAliasing at 4X and everything else cranked max. Not a bit of stutter at all. Sli does not seem to be working however.. still runs fast though.
