should miracle worker come with resists & cleanse effects?
right now i find it... pathetic.

when i compare it to my klinks apA which actually has effective use, and gets used,
miracle worker for my fed engie is useless 99% of the time im flying around, and when i do need it, it does jack besides give me another .5 seconds of time before my ship is gone anyway.
either from whatever that 50k x3 torpedo power the borg have, or from an alphastrike my klink could get every 90 seconds

---------
shield power question;
i have seen people in chat say that shield power level effects shield damage resistance, not just regeneration
anyone able to confirm this with numbers? checked the wiki & nothing.

Miracle worker has been just that for me. Maybe you are waiting too long to activate. Also, from what I can tell, skill points in Starship Hull Repair and Starship Shield Emitters buff Miracle Worker. Do you have any points allocated to those categories?

emitters is at full
hull rep is at 6
i know it will fix a downed subsystem......
but even still, its utterly pathetic in comparison to apA in either its occasional usefulness or its effect when activated.
if im ever in a situation where boff heals & buffs powers arent going to help at that moment, its not a great help.
for its limited windows of usefulness, i find it lackluster at best.

then you throw the 2 minute CD on top of it and its gets really 'meh' to the point of 'should i use this to keep engie team clear'.

While I can't give you the formula for it off the top of my head, higher shield power settings do yield higher passive shield damage resist numbers. I believe it caps out somewhere around the 15-20% range, but I'm not completely certain of that figure.

Miracle Worker is utterly useless. Aux2SIF and Hazard Emitters blow it out of the water. It needs a serious buff, it is quite typical if how poor the engi innates are in general.

Don't forget the shield repair part of Miracle Worker. It's something I use mainly when other things are on cooldown, though.

In my limited experience, Miracle Worker has saved me from death many times, flying escorts, while my other skills were in cooldown or when something is suddenly taking my shield and hull down big time. Because of it's cooldown, it's my last chance save my ship skill and I try to only use it when I really need it. Of course, there are some things it just can't cure. (Like those instant kill plasma energy bolts the borg unimatrix ships like to spit out at me.)

The other skills I've got (mine and my boffs) all either heal hull or shield. Only Miracle Worker does both. (Though it is possible there may be skills that do both that I just don't know about.)

aye, in an escort where you have no other heals.
and even then, apA is demonstrably 10 times more useful since it can be used any-time you have a weapons lock.

Miracle worker could use a small buff to the amount it heals, but really I would like to see a reduction in its activation time. There have been plenty of times I've died, because I waited until I really needed a miracle but died while it was still activating.
