# 1 Boff skills for mobius
03-05-2013, 05:25 AM
Whats the best set up for that? I seen my mate in an ody on pvp and two other ships attacking a mobius yet no damage to the ship or its shield would barely drop, at one poin it would have its hull hit and it would absorb all hits not take any damage even off 3 ships hitting it at same time, i wondered whats the best set up? I have

Universal slot is my tac officer
Tac team 1
Torp spread 2
High yield 3
Cannon volley 3

Science
Cant remember name but shield repair with circle icon
Hazard emitters 2

Other engineer
Repair shields i think this does hull to
Hull repair 2
Another shield repair

Tac officer
Emergency power to weapons

Engineer
Attack pattern beta
Tac team 1

Im not 100% sure if got couple officers right but the boff skills are, when you abbreviate skills could you put full name please as i get confused thank you for your help

This is a very subjective question with no right/wrong answer. The "best" setup is not only a matter of opinion, but will very massively depending on your skills and equipment. That being said, I'll give you my setup. I love my mobius and it's the ship I fly most often

Please bear in mind, this is a PvE setup. I don't PvP! I use this mostly for STFs. I've had people criticize my build for not being optimal, but I don't care about squeezing out the most DPS possible, this is a team ship. Gravity well 3 and Beta 3 won't grant me the most DPS, but they're very helpful for crowd control.

I also use 2 active Conn officers as space doffs to reduce the cooldown of Tac Team to the global 15 seconds, that way I don't need to run 2 versions - it also boosts attack patterns to give beta3 even more punch.

To make this build have higher DPS, replace beta3 with Omega3. You could also make the lt.Com Tactical (but it'd be very glass canon-y) but it could easily be engineering instead for more tanky options. Either case, G-well is useless for PvP and you should swap it for transfer shield strength or similar at the very least.

Commander Tactical: Tac Team 1, Scatter volley 1, Scatter volley 2, Attack Pattern Beta 3
Lt. Tac: Torp Spread 1, Torp spread 2

Lt. Com. Universal (Sci): Polarize Hull 1, Hazard Emitters 2, Gravity Well 1

Lt Universal (Eng): Emergency to Shields 1, Eng Team 2
Lt Eng: Emergency to Shields 1

As you can see I back-to-back chain emergency to shields, using doffs to boost this power even further.

I've also experimented with removing torps and abilities and using an all cannon build. It's powerful, but I don't like it much. I like that perfectly timed torp spread too much

I would drop the PH for a Tachyon Beam personally, fair enough for gates it wont be any use but it really helps drop tactical cubes down to pound away at the hull. You could swap out APB for APO to still get the ability to escape from tractor beams.

OP, what do you aim to achieve in your Mobius? In mine I used to be pure DPS but the universal slots allow me to put in 2 science officers which I use to tangle people up in before unleashing a world of hurt with my weapons.

But APB is so much more useful than APO IMO. APO is such a selfish ability, and APB is such a great team-ability. If you have 2 people running APB3 in an STF with a lot of escorts, everything just melts away into dust - especially with Conn officer doffs. Plus the uptime of beta3 is almost double that of omega3! I did consider this for a while, but I just love APB3 and won't give it up for anything

Highest shield mod of any escort, chaining EPtS, lots of human Boffs. As I said in your other thread ( and these should be a single thread in a different forum, they're in the wrong place ) check out the build in the PvP help thread - its the one I and many others use, and it tanks like a champ. The boff setup is there too.

For the best passive hull regen, make sure you are using all human Boffs, the leadership trait has been fixed and gives insane regen, helps a lot tanking.
